Thanks Daniel - would the upcoming news events on the USD be an issue as well due to its impact on the majors GBPUSD and USDJPY?

Any impact on the USD due to the NFP news would affect both major pairs but not the cross pair... or not that much because the possible moves at the majors would equalize each other. I.e. GBPUSD up and USDJPY down = stagnation on GBPJPY

I didn't think of that - so I guess cross pairs can be a good way to mitigate news risk on the USD

Due to its recent cross with the GBP and the majority of downtrends
