ZoneUS30 — Reversion and Positive Swap on Your Side in US30 - expert para MetaTrader 5

ZoneUS30 is a simplified Expert Advisor developed specifically for the US30 index.

The idea behind the EA is intentionally straightforward: strong markets do not move in a straight line forever. After an upward extension, the price may enter a correction or short-term reversal phase.

ZoneUS30 looks for these situations and opens SELL positions when its internal conditions are satisfied.

Strategy Concept

The EA combines two basic market ideas:

Mean Reversion

After a strong upward movement, price can temporarily move too far away from its recent reference area. ZoneUS30 attempts to identify these extensions and trade a possible correction.

Carry / Positive Swap

Depending on the broker and current trading conditions, US30 short positions may receive positive overnight swap.

For this reason, the strategy is designed only for SELL positions.

When positive short swap is available, a position that remains open for several days may receive an additional carry component while waiting for the expected price correction.

The swap is not intended to replace the trading edge. It is simply an additional component that may improve the economics of a position when the broker pays positive swap on the short side.

Trading Style

ZoneUS30 is not a high-frequency scalper.

Some positions may remain open for several days while the strategy waits for a larger price correction.

Because of this, the EA is closer to a swing / position-trading concept than to traditional day trading.

Inputs

The public version intentionally contains only two user inputs:

Lot
Position size used by the EA.

Signal Timeframe
Timeframe used by the strategy to analyze the market.

All other strategy parameters are internally defined to keep the EA simple.

Important Risk Information

ZoneUS30 is a counter-trend strategy.

Selling a strongly rising index can involve substantial risk because price may continue moving upward for a long period before a correction occurs.

The default lot size is intentionally aggressive and should not be interpreted as a recommended position size.

Users should select a lot size appropriate for their account balance, leverage, broker specifications and personal risk tolerance.

Swap conditions are also not permanent.

Positive or negative swap values may change according to:

• broker;

• account type;

• interest rates;

• financing conditions;

• trading symbol specifications;

• day of the week.

Always verify the current swap specifications of your broker before using the EA.
