Recommendations

The Recommended Timeframe depends on your settings, but by default I use H1
The Expert can go on EURUSD, but also in others with the appropriate settings.
An Ecn broker is always recommended
A low latency vps is always recommended.
The minimum Leverage is 1:20 and the minimum deposit 1000 usd

Dark Algo Settings

Allow Buy: Whether the EA is allowed to open buy trades.
Allow Sell: Whether the EA is allowed to open sell trades.
Max Number of Orders: The maximum number of orders that the EA is allowed to have open at one time.
Max one Trade any Bar: Whether the EA is allowed to open only one trade per bar.
Fifo Closing: Whether the EA will use the First In First Out mode for closing trades.
Allow Buy and Sell at Same Time: Whether the EA is allowed to open both buy and sell trades at the same time.
Magic Number: ID number of the orders.
Max Spread: maximum spread to trade.
Max Average Spread: The maximum average spread that the EA will accept before not opening a trade.

Money Management Settings

Lots: number of lots if the money management option is disabled.
Money Management: if true enables the money management option.
Risk Percent: if the money management option is enabled, it indicates the risk percentage.

Indicators Settings

Stochastic Timeframe: The time frame used for the Stochastic indicator
Stochastic Slow K: The parameter that sets the number of bars used for the slow %K line in the Stochastic indicator
Stochastic Slow D: The parameter that sets the number of bars used for the slow %D line in the Stochastic indicator
Stochastic Slowing: The parameter that sets the number of bars used to slow down the %K line in the Stochastic indicator
Stochastic MA Mode: The moving average method used for the Stochastic indicator
Stochastic Price: The price used for calculation of the Stochastic indicator
Atr Timeframe: The timeframe for the Average True Range (ATR) indicator.
Main Atr Periods: The number of periods for the main ATR calculation.

I have to say that this EA has pleasantly surprised me. The default settings work well not only for EURUSD but also for other currencies (be cautious with *JPY pairs as they probably require more conservative settings). Currently, after 14 days of operation on a live account, it is working with 12 pairs and about 20 trades per day without any manual intervention, achieving a 5% profit and partial drawdowns of less than 2% despite the current market uncertainty. I haven't noticed significant differences between the M15 and H1 timeframes, so I followed the author's advice to keep it on H1 for all pairs, but I plan to test it with other settings and timeframes.

I had only one problem, but not due to the EA, because of a 12-hour internet line interruption (buy a VPS! buy a VPS! buy a VPS!) and a 5% drawdown on previously opened orders. On that occasion, the EA was no longer able to manage the grid, so I had to intervene manually until the price returned to the ranges and it resumed normal operation, but again, it wasn't an algorithm issue.

For me, Dark Algo is one of the best EAs I have ever tested with an excellent quality/price ratio. Furthermore, the other indicators also demonstrate the great seriousness and competence of the author in this field.

Hello, I have been running Dark Algo since 01.07.2024. Since then it has completed 11 trades. Of these 10 with profit. I have set it up with little risk for the time being. I'll give you an update in a few months.

In comparison to “Dark Venus MT5”, this EA exhibits a more cautious approach. Approximately 70% of trades are resolved without resorting to a grid strategy. This conservative approach translates into a lower likelihood of significant asset losses, as evidenced by long-term forward tests. However, one drawback lies in the Money Management module, which lacks currency settings beyond the US dollar and account leverage options. As a bonus, I would appreciate receiving the Dark Breakout MT5 EA. Thank you for your consideration.
