BRA50 Pattern Portfolio EA is a fully automated MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor developed for the BRA50 / Brazil equity index CFD. It combines three independent price-behavior engines in one portfolio instead of relying on a single entry pattern.
The EA is designed to be attached to an M5 chart. Internally, its strategies analyze M5, M15 and H1 data. Every signal is confirmed on a closed candle and execution takes place on the following bar.
How the portfolio works
The system combines three different market behaviors:
Gap Rejection
A short-term reversal engine that looks for a significant price gap followed by rejection of that displacement.
Extreme Rejection
A higher-timeframe reversal engine that looks for fresh price extremes followed by a strong rejection close.
Impulse-Pause Continuation
A continuation engine that looks for a directional impulse followed by a controlled pause before trading in the impulse direction.
The engines use independent magic numbers and can hold several positions at the same time on hedging accounts.
The EA does not use martingale, grid recovery or progressive lot multiplication.
Position management
Positions are closed by time-based rules measured in the native timeframe of each strategy.
The EA does not place a hard Stop Loss or Take Profit.
This is an important risk limitation. A position can remain exposed to a large adverse movement, a session gap or swap costs before its time-based exit is reached. Fixed lot size also means that risk does not automatically adapt to account balance.
Reference historical backtest
The following figures are historical Strategy Tester results only. They are not live trading results and do not guarantee future performance.
Instrument: ActivTrades Bra50
Reference chart: M5
Internal timeframes: M5, M15, H1
Historical period available in the final test: 1 January 2018 to 14 September 2026
History quality: 96%
Reference volume: fixed 0.60 lot
Initial deposit used in the reference test: EUR 5,000
Leverage: 1:100
Total trades: 2,613
Profit Factor: 1.2066
Win rate: 52.66%
Maximum equity drawdown: 5.51%
Relative equity drawdown: 8.35%
Sharpe ratio: 2.085
The historical test produced a positive net result in every tested calendar year from 2018 through 2025, plus the partial 2026 period.
There was no independent out-of-sample period.
The research process intentionally studied the full available historical sample to identify recurring market behaviors and then evaluated the resulting rules on that same historical sample. Buyers should therefore treat these figures as in-sample historical evidence, not as independent validation.
Requirements
MetaTrader 5.
A Hedging account is required.
Attach the EA to the broker symbol corresponding to BRA50 / the Brazil equity index CFD. Broker symbol names, contract specifications and trading sessions can differ.
M5 chart recommended. The EA requests M15 and H1 data internally.
Algo Trading must be enabled.
A continuously running terminal or VPS is recommended because positions can remain open across sessions.
Broker sensitivity and limitations
Results can change materially because of spread, swaps, execution quality, contract size, trading hours, holidays and price-feed differences.
The reference backtest used ActivTrades data and should not be assumed to reproduce identically at another broker.
The system has no hard Stop Loss. Losses can exceed historical drawdown and can be substantial during abnormal market conditions or gaps.
Use a demo account and your broker's Strategy Tester before trading real funds. Start with a lot size appropriate for your own account and risk tolerance.
Recommended workflow
First run the EA in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester using your broker's BRA50 symbol and realistic costs.
Then run it on a demo account and compare trade frequency and behavior before considering live deployment.
Historical performance does not guarantee future results.
