Swing Edge Gold
trades gold on H1 with pending orders that wait for the market to come to them. Once a trade is open, a tight trailing stop protects the move. It never chases price and never adds to a losing trade.Core principles
- Every order has its own stop loss from the moment it is placed
- No grid, no martingale, no averaging, no recovery lots
- Four independent legs: A Fast, B Session, C Core, D Wide — each with its own swing size, distances and magic number
- When a swing is broken or a newer one forms, the old pending order is cancelled and a new one is placed
- Trailing stop moves in small steps once a trade is in profit
Built-in risk control
- Regime guard: 20-day average daily range below 45 USD = pause (pending orders removed, none placed); 45–60 USD = lot x 0.5
- Max spread filter for new orders
- Margin check: margin in use plus all pending orders filled must stay below a set % of equity
- Optional news filter (MT5 economic calendar, high-impact USD news, live only)
- Buy only / sell only / both
- Open positions are always managed, even while new orders are paused
Slippage protection and fill audit
- Every fill is logged (requested price, filled price, spread, delay) to a CSV file in Common\Files
- Optional: enter a little earlier to make up for your broker's usual slippage — measured by the EA itself or set by you
Dashboard
Profit per leg, monthly calendar of daily results and execution statistics (average slippage, spread at fill). The history is kept across settings changes and restarts.
Requirements
- Symbol: XAUUSD / GOLD (attach to any timeframe — the EA loads the H1 data it needs)
- Account: hedging recommended. On a netting account the EA trades one order at a time.
- Suggested balance: from 300 USD per 0.01 lot
- Broker: low spread, ECN / Raw recommended — spread and slippage matter a lot for this EA
- VPS recommended for 24/5 operation
Inputs
- Enable legs A / B / C / D, direction, magic number of leg A (B = +1, C = +2, D = +3)
- Lot mode: fixed lot / % risk at the leg's stop loss / balance per 0.01 lot
- Regime guard on/off, pause level, full-lot level, reduce factor
- Max spread, max margin %
- News filter on/off, minutes before / after
- Slippage protection level and fixed slippage value
- Fill audit on/off
- Dashboard on/off, reset, size and position
Notes
- The EA manages only its own orders (own magic numbers and symbol). Its margin check does not see trades of other EAs.
- All distances are fixed in USD for gold. On other symbols they are scaled and the regime guard is off — gold is the only supported symbol.
- Start on a demo account or with the smallest lot.
