SatoshiTrader is an Expert Advisor for BTCUSD that runs ten independent breakout strategies on one chart. Each strategy has its own levels, stop loss, take profit and trade management.
Live monitoring is available through a public signal, so you can compare live trading with the backtest.
The price will increase as the number of users grows. The planned final price is 999 USD.
How it trades
The Expert Advisor trades breakouts of support and resistance levels on bitcoin. It finds swing highs and swing lows on charts from M15 to H12 and places stop orders just beyond levels that have not yet been broken. When price breaks a level, the order is filled and the trade follows the direction of the breakout.
Strategy design
The ten strategies use different level timeframes (M15, M30, H1, H2, H4, H6, H8 and H12), different stops and targets and different trade management: distance trailing, swing trailing, break-even and an Asia-session window. They trigger under different market conditions and run together as one portfolio.

Testing
Every strategy was developed and tested in the Strategy Tester on BTCUSD and checked on the price feeds of several brokers, so the results do not depend on the data of a single broker.
The backtest reports in the screenshots are historical simulations, not real trading results. Past results do not guarantee future results. You can repeat the test with the model "Every tick based on real ticks". The length of the available tick history depends on your broker.
Setup
- Attach the Expert Advisor to one BTCUSD chart. The chart timeframe does not matter.
- Choose a Strategy setup: Updated (all ten strategies, default) or Original (the first seven strategies with their original settings).
- Choose a Trade Frequency: Low, Moderate or All, or pick the strategies yourself with StrategiesToRun.
- Choose a Risk Mode: Lot size step, Fixed lot, Risk % per trade or Risk money per trade.
The strategies are built in, so no set files are needed. All runs every strategy of the setup, Moderate the five with the best measured results, and Low the two most stable. With StrategiesToRun you can choose your own selection, for example 1-4 or 1,2,5,8, with at least four strategies.
Risk management
- Lot size step (default): each strategy has its own lot size per balance, set so the strategies carry a similar share of account risk. Lots grow with the balance; for four of the strategies they also follow the bitcoin price, so their position value stays in proportion as the price changes. The Risk multiplier scales all strategies at once.
- Fixed lot: the same lot size for every strategy.
- Risk % per trade: each trade risks a fixed % of your balance, calculated from its stop loss.
- Risk money per trade: each trade risks a fixed amount in the account currency, calculated from its stop loss.
Bitcoin is often limited by the broker to a maximum volume per direction. With RespectVolumeLimit on, the Expert Advisor scales all strategies down together so that every order fits inside that limit. An order is skipped if free margin is insufficient. A maximum lot per order can be set, and lots can be sized on a custom balance or on equity.
Account protection
When the closed and floating result of the day reaches the daily loss limit, all positions are closed, pending orders are deleted and trading pauses until the next day. When equity falls below the start balance by the total loss limit, all positions are closed and the Expert Advisor stops. The equity stop and equity target close all positions and stop the Expert Advisor at a fixed equity level. These limits can be set to match the daily and total loss rules of an account.
News filter
The news filter blocks new trades around US Nonfarm Payrolls, CPI and FOMC rate decisions, with optional closing of open positions and deletion of pending orders. You set the minutes before and after. You can also keep each strategy's own tested news settings. In live trading, the economic calendar filter uses the MetaTrader 5 calendar for the selected importance, with the same options.
Trading hours and weekends
No new trades are opened on Monday before the start time you set. On Friday, all positions are closed and trading stops at the time you set. Both times can use broker server time or GMT. For brokers that close bitcoin over the weekend, pending orders are removed shortly before the weekend close and no new orders are placed until shortly after the weekend open.
On chart panel
The panel shows balance, equity, floating profit and the result of the day, the status of the news, trading hours and spread filters, and one row per strategy with its orders, positions, profit and trade count. The buttons are PAUSE ENTRIES and CLOSE ALL with confirmation. The font size, position and refresh interval are adjustable.

- TradeFrequency: Low, Moderate or All
- StrategyPreset: Updated (ten strategies) or Original (seven strategies, original settings)
- StrategiesToRun: your own selection, for example 1-4,7 (empty = Trade frequency decides; at least four strategies)
- TradeDirection: buy and sell, buy only or sell only
- MagicBase, EA_MagicNumber and TradeComment: base magic number (strategy N uses base plus N minus 1), chart magic number and comment prefix
- MaxSpreadPoints and MaxSlippagePoints: maximum spread for new orders (0 = off) and maximum slippage, in points
Parameters: risk
- RiskMode: Lot size step, Fixed lot, Risk % per trade or Risk money per trade
- RiskMultiplier: scales the lots of every strategy (0.5 = half)
- FixedLot, RiskPercent, RiskMoney: the values for those modes
- MaxLot: largest order size the Expert Advisor sends
- CustomBalance and UseEquityForLots: size lots on a fixed balance or on equity
- RespectVolumeLimit: keep all strategies inside the broker's volume limit for the symbol
Parameters: account protection
- MaxDailyLossPercent: daily loss limit in % of the day's equity peak (0 = off)
- MaxTotalLossPercent: total loss limit in % of the start balance (0 = off)
- StartBalanceOverride: start balance for the total loss rule (0 = balance at first start)
- EquityStop and EquityTarget: stop when equity reaches these values (0 = off)
Parameters: time and news filters
- TimeReference, MondayStartTime, FridayCloseTime: time reference and the Monday and Friday times in HH:MM (empty = off)
- WeekendPendingsOffMinutes and WeekendNoOrdersMinutes: pending orders removed before the weekend close, no new orders after the weekend open
- NewsFilter: each strategy's own settings, on for every strategy, or off

Recommended setup
Use a BTCUSD chart on any timeframe. A hedging account is recommended because several strategies can hold positions at the same time, and a raw spread account is preferred. The strategies were tested with broker server time GMT+2 or GMT+3. A virtual private server is recommended for continuous operation.
Risk notice
SatoshiTrader is a rule based breakout system. Bitcoin is volatile, and the Expert Advisor will have losing days, losing weeks and drawdowns. Every trade is protected by a stop loss, and you control the size of the risk through the risk settings.
