BTC TrendFlow — Bitcoin Trend Trading for MetaTrader 5
BTC TrendFlow is an automated Expert Advisor designed specifically for BTCUSD on the M5 timeframe. It combines trend filtering with RSI-based entry signals and volatility-adjusted position management.
The strategy looks for momentum crosses and pullback opportunities within a filtered market direction. Its BTCUSD strategy does not use martingale, grid trading or averaging down.
Main features
- Trend and momentum filters: moving average, ADX and higher-timeframe RSI help define entry conditions.
- Two entry approaches: RSI crossover and pullback signals.
- Volatility-based exits: initial Stop Loss and Take Profit distances are calculated using ATR.
- Stepped profit protection: the EA adjusts its protective stop as a position moves favourably, using configurable activation, step and profit-lock settings.
- Equity-based position sizing: trade volume is calculated from the configured risk percentage and initial Stop Loss distance, subject to broker volume and margin constraints.
- Controlled entries: the BTCUSD strategy manages one EA-owned position at a time per symbol and uses a cooldown between entries.

Use this EA only on its intended BTCUSD instrument. Broker symbol naming and contract specifications must be checked before use. Other instruments are not supported for the intended trading strategy.
Input parameters
- RISK_PERCENTAGE: target risk percentage used for equity-based position sizing.
- SL_NARROW_ATR: initial Stop Loss distance in ATR multiples.
- TP_NARROW_ATR: initial Take Profit distance in ATR multiples.
- PROFIT_START_ATR: favourable price movement required to activate profit protection.
- PROFIT_STEP_ATR: step size used to advance profit protection.
- PROFIT_LOCK_PERCENT: percentage applied to the stepped ATR-based movement when calculating the protective stop. This is not a guaranteed percentage of account profit.
- CooldownPeriod: minimum waiting period between entries, in seconds.
- ATR_PERIOD: ATR calculation period.
- RSI_PERIOD: entry-timeframe RSI period.
- H1_RSI_PERIOD: higher-timeframe RSI period.
- MA_PERIOD: moving-average filter period.
- ADX_PERIOD: ADX calculation period.
- H1_RSI_LEVEL: higher-timeframe RSI threshold.
- M5_RSI_LEVEL: entry-timeframe RSI threshold.
- ADX_ENTRY_MIN: minimum ADX value required for entry.
- RSI_CROSS_VALID_BARS: validity window for an RSI crossover signal.
- ENTRY_MODE: selection of crossover, pullback or combined entry logic.
- RSI_PULLBACK_LOOKBACK: lookback window for pullback detection.
- RSI_PULLBACK_MIN: minimum RSI pullback magnitude.
- RSI_REBOUND_MIN: minimum RSI rebound required for a pullback entry.
Before live trading
Test the EA using your broker’s BTCUSD specifications and evaluate it on a demo account before trading live. Spreads, commissions, swaps, execution delays and slippage can materially affect results.
Do not run BTC TrendFlow alongside another EA using the same magic number on the same account and symbol.
