Rise Through the Outlier
Convex Phoenix EA is a selective XAUUSD trading system built around one asymmetric principle:
Control the setback. Stay open to the exceptional move.
Many trading systems attempt to maximize their winning percentage. Convex Phoenix follows a different philosophy. It accepts that some opportunities will fail, controls exposure when they do, and remains available for the occasional directional move capable of producing a disproportionately larger result.
This is not a grid, martingale or recovery system. Every position is independently risk-sized and protected by a real broker stop loss.
Selective Market Intelligence
Convex Phoenix continuously studies price behaviour, volatility, momentum and the broader market direction before considering an entry.
It is designed to recognize two important opportunity types:
-
Price moving too far before reversing with confirmation
-
Price becoming compressed before releasing into a directional move
The EA automatically gives priority to its strongest available opportunity. It will not open competing trades from multiple conditions on the same bar.
This selective approach allows Convex Phoenix to participate in different market environments without flooding the account with unnecessary positions.
Intelligent Risk Allocation
Not every opportunity receives the same exposure.
Convex Phoenix automatically assigns greater risk to its primary opportunities and reduced risk to its secondary opportunities. This expands the number of qualified trades while limiting the additional pressure placed on the account.
The default selected risk is 0.10%, with an internal maximum of 0.50%.
Position size is calculated using account balance, stop distance and the trading conditions reported by the broker. If the broker’s minimum lot would exceed the selected risk allowance, the trade may be rejected.
Automated Trade Management
Every position follows a disciplined lifecycle from entry to exit.
Convex Phoenix provides:
-
Confirmation-based entries
-
Closed-candle signal evaluation
-
Real broker stop losses
-
Volatility-adjusted profit targets
-
Automatic break-even protection
-
Time-based exits for stagnant positions
-
Automatic cancellation of expired entry orders
-
A maximum of three entries per trading day
-
Daily profit protection
-
Spread protection
-
Broker-aware volume and margin checks
-
Recovery of daily trading state after a platform restart
Signals are evaluated after a candle has closed, helping prevent unstable intrabar decisions. Once a position is active, management remains tick-accurate for responsive protection and exit handling.

RiskPercent
Controls the risk allocation assigned to the EA’s primary opportunities. Secondary opportunities automatically receive reduced exposure.
Default: 0.10%
Maximum: 0.50%
MaxSpreadPoints
Defines the maximum permitted spread before new entries are blocked.
The appropriate value may vary depending on the broker’s symbol digits and spread structure.
MagicNumber
A unique identifier used to separate Convex Phoenix positions and orders from those belonging to other Expert Advisors.
The core strategy, entry conditions and management rules are intentionally locked to protect the researched architecture.
What to Expect
Convex Phoenix is not designed to produce a high winning percentage.
Its architecture can experience:
-
Frequent small losing trades
-
Extended losing sequences
-
Quiet periods
-
Gradual periods of performance
-
Occasional large directional winners
-
Different results across brokers and market conditions
The strategy should be judged by its complete payoff distribution rather than by one trade, one week or a short testing period.
Users who are uncomfortable with frequent controlled losses or extended losing sequences should not use this strategy.

Important Risk Notice
Trading leveraged financial products involves substantial risk. Spread widening, slippage, execution latency, minimum-lot restrictions, margin requirements, price gaps and changing market behaviour may cause live results to differ from historical testing.
The tight protective geometry used by Convex Phoenix makes broker execution quality particularly important.
Begin with the default risk or lower.
Convex Phoenix EAControl the setback. Stay open to the outlier.
