ECFX XAU DUAL CROWN
ECFX XAU Dual Crown is a multi-engine Expert Advisor developed for XAUUSD on the M5 chart. It combines the Lock30x pending-order framework with the Aurum Velocity market-execution framework inside one coordinated portfolio.
Crown I, Lock30x, analyses completed-candle ranges, timed pending entries, conditional profit-boost opportunities and H1 expansion setups. Crown II, Aurum Velocity, analyses short-term velocity and channel breakouts, with an optional EMA pullback engine.
Each engine uses separate magic-number ownership while shared protection can coordinate daily-loss limits and high-water equity protection across the complete EA.

Broker symbols can differ in digits, tick size, stop distance, contract size, leverage, commission, swap, spread and trading sessions. Results can therefore differ between brokers even when identical inputs and dates are used.
HOW DUAL CROWN TRADES
CROWN I: LOCK30X CORE
Lock30x measures completed M5 candle ranges. When a candle satisfies the configured threshold, the EA calculates a pending-entry level using the candle price and configured offset.
In the stock profile, a qualifying bearish candle can create a Sell Stop below the completed candle. The order receives a protective stop loss and expiry time. Decision spacing and managed-exposure checks help prevent duplicate orders.
Once a position moves sufficiently in profit, the trailing engine can move the protective stop behind the market. The stock profile does not depend on a fixed take-profit target. Exits are managed through protective stops, trailing logic, optional time exits and portfolio safeguards.
Lock30x also contains two additional lanes:
PORTFOLIO PROFIT BOOST
The Boost lane remains inactive until the configured daily-profit threshold is reached. Once unlocked, it searches for a stronger directional candle during its trading window.
Momentum checks evaluate candle range against recent average range, body quality and closing location. A local rules-based regime score can penalise excessive spread, drawdown and recent losses.
Boost risk is limited to a configurable portion of the day’s available profit, subject to an account-equity risk ceiling, lot cap and separate margin limit. It is not a martingale system.
H1 EXPANSION
The H1 lane reads completed H1 candles while the EA remains attached to XAUUSD M5. It combines candle expansion, ATR, EMA alignment, body quality, trading sessions and weekday controls.
The stock profile trades sell expansions using its own stop distance, lot cap, pending-order expiry, margin limit and maximum-hold exit.
CROWN II: AURUM VELOCITY
Aurum evaluates completed M5 candles during its configured broker-time session. It contains three separately owned engines:
Velocity: Searches for strong directional candles whose range and body exceed the configured thresholds.
Channel: Compares the completed candle with previous highs and lows. A bearish close below the prior channel can trigger a market sell.
Pullback: Included but disabled by default. When enabled, it uses ATR and the fast EMA to identify a wick into the moving-average area followed by a directional close. Optional fast and slow EMA confirmation can also be applied.
Velocity and Channel are enabled in the stock profile. Each Aurum engine has a separate magic number, and the same engine cannot create another position while it already owns one. The stock profile permits a maximum of two simultaneous Aurum positions.
Aurum positions receive an initial stop loss and can be managed through break-even, trailing-stop and maximum-hold rules. Aurum also includes spread protection, a daily entry limit, daily equity-loss protection, volume brakes and persistent high-water protection.
GOLD STRATEGY POINTS
The principal distance settings use the EA’s Gold strategy-point convention. On common two and three-decimal XAUUSD symbols, one strategy point represents approximately 0.01 in price.
For example, 600 strategy points represents approximately 6.00 in XAUUSD price distance before broker minimum-stop and tick-size requirements are applied.
Always inspect calculated order distances in your broker’s Strategy Tester before changing distance inputs.
VOLUME AND SCALING
The two crowns use separate volume calculations.
Lock30x calculates its initial reference volume using:
Lot Size × Reference Equity ÷ Capital Reference Balance
The stock reference is 3.00 lots per 200,000 account-currency units. At 50,000 equity, the raw starting reference is approximately 0.75 lots before normalization, brakes and margin limits.
Lock30x can adjust volume by 0.01 lots for each completed 250-unit equity step. Final volume may still be reduced by drawdown brakes, recovery mode, lot caps, broker volume restrictions, available margin and the margin-usage ceiling.
Aurum scales proportionally using:
Reference Lots × Current Equity ÷ Reference Equity
Its stock reference is also 3.00 lots per 200,000 account-currency units, capped at 8.00 lots. Aurum then applies its own brakes, normalization and margin checks.
Changing lot references, scaling steps, caps, brake multipliers or margin limits can materially alter both return and drawdown. Test all volume changes before considering live use.
DAILY-LOSS PROTECTION
Dual Crown contains separate daily protection layers.
The Lock30x Sydney-day guard resets at 08:00 Sydney time and can automatically adjust for daylight saving. It can use equity for the cutoff and, when triggered, close positions, delete pending orders and block new entries until the next reset.
Daily_Guard_Account_Wide_Close is enabled by default. This means the guard may close manual trades or positions belonging to other EAs on the same account. Review this input carefully if the account contains unrelated strategies.
Aurum separately records broker-day starting equity and blocks new Aurum entries when its own daily equity-loss limit is reached.
DRAWDOWN BRAKES
Lock30x stock protection:

Level 1: 8% drawdown with a 0.50 volume multiplier.

Level 2: 14% drawdown with a 0.25 multiplier.
-
Recovery mode enters at 6% drawdown.
-
Recovery mode exits at 2.5% drawdown or lower.
-
Recovery multiplier: 0.40.
Aurum stock protection:
-
Level 1: 6% drawdown with a 0.40 multiplier.
-
Level 2: 10% drawdown with a 0.15 multiplier.
When multiple Lock30x reductions apply, the smallest relevant multiplier is used instead of multiplying every reduction together.
HIGH-WATER EQUITY PROTECTION
Aurum records initial and peak equity and can maintain a persistent protection lock between terminal sessions.
When the fixed arm-profit input is zero, the stock arm level is calculated from initial equity multiplied by the activation multiple. The default activation multiple is 20. A 50,000 account would therefore arm at 1,000,000 equity.
After arming, a 10% drawdown from the recorded peak activates the lock. When shared protection is enabled, this closes positions and pending orders managed by both crowns and prevents further entries.
InpResetStoredProtectionState is a deliberate one-time reset. Return it to false after use. Do not clear a genuine live protection lock without first reviewing the account and the reason it activated.
RECENT-REGIME CONTROLS
The stock profile includes editable research safeguards beginning on 1 March 2026.

Lock30x Core: Monday remains available; Tuesday through Friday are blocked after the configured date.

Boost: later setups can be blocked after hour 17.

H1 Expansion: Monday, Wednesday and Friday are blocked; Tuesday and Thursday remain available.
These are editable historical safeguards, not market forecasts. Changing their date or weekday settings can significantly change trade count and performance. Validate changes using recent-period and out-of-sample tests.
INSTALLATION

Open MetaTrader 5 and sign in with the MQL5 account used for purchase.

Locate ECFX XAU Dual Crown under Navigator, Expert Advisors and Market.

Install the product and open the broker’s XAUUSD M5 chart.

Attach the EA and allow algorithmic trading.

Keep the stock inputs for the first test.

Confirm that the account uses Hedging position mode.

Enable the main Algo Trading button.

Check the Experts and Journal tabs for initialization, broker, margin or parameter warnings.
Use only one Dual Crown instance per account and symbol unless every magic number is deliberately changed. Reusing magic numbers causes instances to manage the same positions.

After confirming correct operation locally:

Run several tests before drawing conclusions:

Forward demo observation on the intended broker.
Record net profit, total trades, profit factor, maximum balance and equity drawdown, largest loss, consecutive losses, holding time and engine labels. Do not judge an EA using net profit or win rate alone.
Optimize only small related input groups at one time. Select stable input regions rather than the single highest result, then validate them on unseen data and a fresh starting deposit.
TROUBLESHOOTING
EA does not initialize:

Confirm Hedging position mode.

Confirm at least one crown is enabled.

Check that all magic numbers are unique.

Read the Experts and Journal messages.
No trades appear:

Confirm XAUUSD M5 and sufficient M5 and H1 history.

Check the test date, broker time and trading windows.

Check weekday blocks and direction switches.
-
Check spread, daily locks, cooldowns and exposure limits.

Remember that Boost remains inactive until unlocked by daily profit.
Volume is smaller than expected:

Check current equity and scaling references.
-
Check drawdown brakes and recovery mode.
-
Check lot caps, leverage, free margin and margin limits.
-
Check the broker’s minimum, maximum and lot step.
Orders are rejected:

Confirm the Gold market is open.
-
Check spread, free margin and leverage.
-
Check minimum stop and freeze distances.
-
Check symbol digits and tick size.
-
Review the Journal for the broker rejection code.
EA stopped after protection:

Check the dashboard and Experts log for a daily guard or high-water lock.
-
Daily guards wait for their configured reset.
-
Reset a persistent high-water lock only after reviewing why it activated.
MQL5 VALIDATION SETTINGS
Keep Enable_Market_Validator_Safe_Mode and Enable_Market_Validator_Fallback_Trade at their stock values. They are intended for formal Market validation and are not strategy-optimization inputs.
