Golden Oracle is an Expert Advisor for XAUUSD (Gold) built on a disciplined daily breakout strategy. Stop Loss and Take Profit are set at predefined Fibonacci extension and retracement levels. Orders expire automatically at a user-defined time, avoiding overnight exposure.

Two-Stage Take Profit with Breakeven. Optionally closes 50% of the position at a midpoint Fibonacci target (TP1) and moves the Stop Loss to breakeven. The remaining half runs to the full extension target (TP2).

Two-Tier Drawdown Protection. Separate daily and total drawdown limits protect the account at two levels. The daily limit resets each session; the total limit permanently halts the EA once hit. Both immediately close open positions and cancel pending orders when triggered.

Can I use this on a prop firm? Yes. The drawdown protection, automatic order expiry, and one-trade-per-day logic are designed for prop firm risk rules. Set the daily drawdown limit slightly below your firm's threshold as a safety buffer, and always review your firm's specific requirements before deploying.

Does it work in the Strategy Tester? Yes. The news filter is automatically disabled in the tester since WebRequest is unavailable in that environment. Backtest results will not reflect the filter's effect. For realistic XAUUSD backtesting, use a fixed spread of 15 to 20 points.

What happens if a news event occurs after orders are placed? Pending orders within an active news window are automatically removed. Once the window closes, the EA re-places them provided the daily expiry time has not yet passed.

The EA was halted by total drawdown. How do I restart it? Remove the EA from the chart and re-attach it. This resets the equity baseline to your current equity and resumes normal operation.

Can I run this on other symbols? No. The strategy is designed exclusively for XAUUSD.
