CYov_KijunLine_MTF (Kijun Ribbon / Multi-Timeframe Kijun)
This indicator is designed to visualize Ichimoku Kijun-sen together with a higher-timeframe Kijun-sen, helping you keep your trading bias consistent and avoid low-quality conditions.
It is not a “magic signal generator”. The goal is to provide a clearer perspective so you can reduce mistakes and avoid bad trades.
1. What is Kijun-sen?
Kijun-sen is a core line of the Ichimoku system calculated from the highest high and lowest low over a fixed period.
Traders often treat it as a break-even / equilibrium reference, meaning:

Price above Kijun-sen → bullish bias tends to dominate

Price below Kijun-sen → bearish bias tends to dominate
2. Difference from Moving Averages
Moving averages are based on “average of the last N bars”, and the method (SMA/EMA/WMA, etc.) and settings vary widely between traders.
Kijun-sen, on the other hand, follows a defined Ichimoku formula, which helps reduce interpretation differences and supports more consistent decision-making.
3. Core concept: Avoid low-quality trades
If Kijun-sen works as an equilibrium line, the key is whether price can hold and react around it.
When price fails to hold and frequently crosses back and forth, the market often behaves like a range and trading becomes inefficient.
This indicator helps you identify those conditions so you can skip unnecessary trades.
4. Align with a higher timeframe
By plotting a higher-timeframe Kijun-sen, you can:

Trade in the direction of the higher-timeframe context

Use the higher-timeframe Kijun as a “back-support” reference
This often improves focus and reduces bias switching.
5. Kijun Ribbon (filled zone)
The indicator can fill the area between:

Current timeframe Kijun-sen, and
-
Higher timeframe Kijun-sen
This “ribbon” helps you visually identify a no-trade / caution zone where price action is often messy.
A common use is to wait for a clean break and then consider entries on pullbacks after the break.
6. Signals & Alerts (closed-bar confirmation)
You can enable arrows and alerts for:

Kijun × Higher-TF Kijun cross

Tenkan × Kijun cross (optional)
Alerts are designed for monitoring efficiency. Many traders prefer to confirm entries after a cross, on the pullback.
