Supertrend Heikin Ashi EA – A Smarter, Safer Way to Trade Trends
The Supertrend indicator is a powerful tool for identifying market trends. However, in sideways or ranging markets — which account for most of the time — traditional Supertrend calculations often produce noisy or misleading signals.
To overcome this limitation, I applied a different approach: calculating Supertrend based on Heikin Ashi candles instead of regular candles.
The result has been impressive — this method provides clearer, more reliable trend detection.
Based on this idea, I developed the Supertrend Heikin Ashi EA, a fully automated trading robot that not only uses the improved Supertrend + Heikin Ashi logic, but also includes additional filters like Moving Average (MA), RSI, and CCI to further enhance signal quality in various market conditions.
I’ve been personally using this EA in live trading and have consistently achieved monthly returns of 5–10%, with risk under control.

Volume Management Options
The EA includes flexible volume control methods:

Fixed Volume:
This is the mode I personally use. For example, I assign 0.01 lots per $200 in account balance (with 1:60 leverage). So with a $2,000 balance, the lot size is 0.1 per trade. -
Volume Based on Equity (%):
The EA can automatically calculate the lot size as a percentage of current equity.
In addition, there's a smart risk control feature:
If a trade is lost, the EA reduces the next lot size by half. Once a winning trade occurs, it resets the lot size back to the original calculation.
