Classic Breakout Surfer is a fully automated breakout Expert Advisor for gold (XAUUSD) on MetaTrader 5.

It is designed to identify meaningful market structure, monitor developing breakout opportunities, and manage trades automatically from entry through exit. The strategy combines multi-timeframe market analysis with adaptive order management, risk controls, and dynamic profit protection.

The underlying trading model is intentionally kept proprietary. The Expert Advisor handles the complete decision-making process internally, so users do not need to manually interpret levels, calculate entries, or manage trades.

Gold is the primary market and the strategy is preset for XAUUSD. EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY and BTCUSD are also supported using the supplied set files.

Classic Breakout Surfer continuously evaluates market structure and looks for conditions that may lead to a valid breakout.

When the required conditions are met, the Expert Advisor manages the entry automatically. Orders are handled dynamically according to current market conditions rather than being left unnecessarily far from price.

The system is designed to avoid chasing moves that have already occurred.

Once a trade is active, it is managed independently according to the strategy's risk and profit-management rules.

There is:

• No martingale.

• No grid recovery system.

• No averaging down.

• No progressive lot increase after losses.

• No manual intervention required for normal operation.

The exact calculations used to identify trading opportunities, determine entry conditions and manage the strategy are proprietary and are not exposed as user-configurable parameters.

Profit management is an important part of Classic Breakout Surfer.

As a position develops, the Expert Advisor can progressively protect accumulated profit and adapt its stop management to the trade's progress.

The system includes several layers of profit protection designed to respond to normal price movement as well as unusually fast moves.

A dedicated spike-protection mechanism can react quickly when price makes an exceptional move in the trade's favor, allowing a substantial portion of the move to be protected.

Profit protection can be evaluated using either the default candle-based approach or a tick-based approach.

Classic Breakout Surfer uses the economic calendar built into MetaTrader 5.

No external website, API or additional news service is required.

Around important economic releases for the currencies selected by the user, the Expert Advisor can temporarily stop initiating new trades and manage pending orders accordingly. Existing positions continue to be managed.

You can configure:

• News filter on/off.

• News impact level.

• Currencies to monitor.

• Time before a release to pause trading.

• Time after a release before trading resumes.

The dashboard displays upcoming news information when the MetaTrader 5 calendar is available.

Important: MetaTrader 5 does not provide the economic calendar to the Strategy Tester, so news filtering is available on live and demo accounts but cannot be fully tested historically.

Classic Breakout Surfer provides several position-sizing methods:

• Percentage risk based on account balance.

• Fixed lot size.

• Balance-based lot sizing.

The Expert Advisor also includes controls for total exposure, daily losses, spread and available margin.

A default maximum total-risk limit helps prevent excessive simultaneous exposure. Multiple trades may be active at the same time, subject to the configured risk and order controls.

An optional daily loss limit can stop trading and close open positions when the configured threshold is reached.

Margin is checked before new orders are placed.

On small accounts, broker minimum-lot requirements can result in actual risk being higher than the selected percentage. Users should take this into account when choosing an account size and risk level.

The optional dashboard provides a clear overview of:

For XAUUSD, attach the Expert Advisor to an M1 chart. The Expert Advisor obtains the additional market information it requires automatically.

A hedging account with competitive spreads is recommended. Raw and ECN-style accounts are generally well suited to automated trading. Netting accounts are supported with the applicable position limitations.

The Expert Advisor is designed around GMT+2/GMT+3 server time. A server-time adjustment is available for brokers using another server time.

For uninterrupted trade management, running the Expert Advisor on a reliable VPS is recommended.

For XAUUSD, M1 — Every tick based on real ticks provides the most detailed historical test.

1 minute OHLC can be used for faster preliminary testing.

Backtesting results depend heavily on historical data quality, spreads, commissions, execution conditions and the assumptions used by the Strategy Tester. Historical performance should not be interpreted as a guarantee of future results.

Each position is managed independently, and the system does not increase lot size after a losing trade or use losses to determine the size of the next trade.

Not for gold. XAUUSD is the primary market and the strategy is preset for it. Users generally only need to select the appropriate risk and account-management settings.

The other supported symbols are supplied with corresponding set files. Advanced users can test and adjust the available risk, order-management and protection parameters in the Strategy Tester.

For XAUUSD, attach the Expert Advisor to an M1 chart. It reads the additional market information required by the strategy automatically.

MetaTrader 5 does not provide the economic calendar to the Strategy Tester. The news filter therefore operates on live and demo charts but cannot be reproduced normally in historical testing.

Multiple positions can be open simultaneously, subject to the configured exposure and order-management limits.
