Kefren Nemesis — Gold Breakout System
Overview
Kefren Nemesis is a fully automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, designed to trade XAUUSD (Gold).
The system combines four independent internal trading strategies. Each strategy analyzes market structure using its own operational timeframe and higher-timeframe context, looking for breakout opportunities when its predefined market conditions are met.
The exact entry rules are proprietary to the system. However, the general trading architecture, market filters, trade management and risk-control mechanisms are described below.
Strategy Architecture
Kefren Nemesis uses four independent strategy modules rather than relying on a single entry model.
Each strategy has its own:
- Market conditions and entry logic
- Operational timeframe
- Trend and volatility filters
- Trading-session conditions
- Exit and trade-management rules
This allows each module to evaluate the market independently according to its own set of conditions.
Market Analysis
The strategies use multi-timeframe market information to evaluate the current market context.
Depending on the strategy, the system can use D1, H4, H1 and M30 data to assess price structure, trend conditions and market volatility.
Before opening a position, the relevant strategy applies its own combination of market filters. These may include:
- Price-structure conditions
- Volatility requirements
- Trend strength using ADX
- Higher-timeframe alignment
- Spread control
- Maximum slippage control
- Trading-session filters
- Day-of-week filters
A trade is opened only when the conditions required by the corresponding strategy are satisfied.
Breakout Approach
Kefren Nemesis is primarily designed around breakout and trend-following conditions.
The system looks for situations in which the market develops a directional movement that satisfies the conditions of one of its internal strategies.
It is therefore not designed to trade continuously in every market condition. During periods of low volatility or sideways price movement, the EA may remain inactive or generate fewer trading opportunities.
Trade Management
Each strategy has its own trade-management configuration.
Depending on the selected settings, positions can use:
- Fixed Stop Loss
- Fixed Take Profit
- ATR-based Stop Loss or Take Profit
- Trailing Stop
- ATR-based trailing
- Break-even
- Time-based exits
The trade-management rules are applied independently by each strategy.
Time-Based Exit
The system can close a position after a configurable number of candles when the expected price movement has not developed sufficiently.
This mechanism prevents positions from remaining open indefinitely when the market conditions that supported the original trade are no longer present.
Risk and Money Management
Kefren Nemesis provides configurable money-management options.
The EA can operate using:
- Fixed lot size
- Variable risk based on account balance
- Automatic position sizing based on the Stop Loss distance
Risk settings can be adjusted according to the user's preferred level of exposure.
The selected risk level should always be evaluated in relation to the account size, broker conditions and the historical drawdown of the strategy.
Consecutive-Loss Control
The EA includes controls for consecutive losing trades.
Each strategy can monitor its own losing streak, while a global Circuit Breaker can temporarily pause trading after a configurable number of consecutive losses.
The pause duration can also be configured.
These mechanisms are designed to control trading activity during unfavorable periods rather than attempting to force the system to trade under all market conditions.
Execution Conditions
Kefren Nemesis is designed to operate under conditions with competitive spreads and fast execution.
An ECN or Raw-type account is recommended when available, particularly for strategies that can be sensitive to spread and execution costs.
Actual trading results can vary depending on the broker, spread, commissions, slippage, liquidity and execution conditions.
Installation
Add Kefren Nemesis to an XAUUSD chart in MetaTrader 5 and enable automated trading.
The EA can be attached to different chart timeframes, although the H1 chart is recommended for normal operation.
Only one instance is required according to the system configuration. Follow the EA's input parameters and setup instructions before starting live trading.
Control Panel
The EA includes an optional on-chart control panel.
When enabled, the panel provides information about the current account and EA status, including open positions and relevant trading statistics.
The panel can be enabled or disabled from the EA settings.
Compatibility With Other EAs
Kefren Nemesis includes a configurable base Magic Number and customizable trade comment.
These settings allow the EA to be identified separately when other Expert Advisors are operating on the same account.
When using multiple EAs, make sure that their Magic Numbers and trading configurations are properly separated.
Recommended Use
Kefren Nemesis is intended for traders who understand that automated trading systems can experience both profitable and losing periods.
Because the system is trend and breakout oriented, its activity can vary significantly according to market conditions.
It is recommended to:
- Test the EA in MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester before live use.
- Run the EA on a demo account before using real funds.
- Start with a moderate risk setting.
- Verify the broker's spread, commission and execution conditions.
- Monitor the system during its initial live period.
- Use a risk level appropriate for the account size and personal risk tolerance.
The system should be evaluated over a sufficiently long period rather than based on a small number of trades.
Important Risk Disclaimer
Trading financial instruments involves a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors.
Losses can occur, including losses of a substantial portion of the trading account. Past performance, backtest results and historical statistics do not guarantee future results.
Trading results may differ from historical tests because of changes in market conditions, spreads, commissions, slippage, liquidity and execution.
No automated trading system can guarantee profits or eliminate trading risk.
Always test the Expert Advisor before using it with real funds and never risk more than you can afford to lose.
