Hello, Stop Loss is moved according to Trailing to close positions. So the position can be closed before hitting Take Profit with a smaller profit than Full Take Profit.

Losing positions are usually closed by position management strategy or hit the original Stop Loss or are closed when the trend has changed (parameter: Close By Trend Changed = True).

So you often see positions closing before hitting the Take Profit or before hitting the initial Stop Loss.

Sometimes, the fluctuations are too fast (within 1 ~ 10ms or faster than VPS latency, or price gap) causing the Trailing Stop Loss to "slip" towards the loss, closing the position at a loss, at this time the reason is the fluctuations and latency causing the transaction to be at a loss instead of a profit.

For example: Buy position at 4260.46 and the price increases to 4261.46, the EA moves the Stop Loss to the Bid price - 10(point) (expected at 4261.36 with profit) but immediately after that the price jumps a gap or jerks quickly to 4255.17 in 1 to 5ms (example) and at this time the Stop Loss is executed at 4255.07 and then matches the loss. This situation often appears when the price fluctuates too fast. This is a hypothetical situation to explain about gap, slippage, order slippage... so you understand some losses can appear unexpectedly like that.

For Gold trading, you can fine-tune the EA's time filter (Time Start and Time End) to optimize performance across different market sessions. Consider your current latency and the speed of price movement during the US session.

For example, if your latency is high (e.g., 50ms) and prices move up to 100 points within 20ms during the US session, your EA may not be able to place orders fast enough, resulting in slippage.

In this case, it's better to set the EA to trade only during the Asian session, where price movements are more stable and consistent. This helps reduce the impact of latency and improves execution quality.

Tip: To trade only during the Asian session, set the Time Start to 01:30 and Time End to 07:00. This helps avoid high volatility periods and reduces the impact of latency.

For 3-digit Gold symbols, you should increase the Max Spread, Trailing Stop, Start Trailing, Take Profit, and Stop Loss parameters by 10x, because the Pip and Point values differ by a factor of 10 between 2-digit and 3-digit symbols.

Hi, in most cases there is no special reason, it just takes a little time for the signal logic settings to appear and then the EA will open a trade order according to that signal. This means it can take up to 48 hours for you to see the first trade order.

You can see the attached image to see that there are periods of many hours without trading orders

However, you should also check your settings, make sure you keep MT4 online 24/5. The solution is to use VPS to ensure a continuous connection with low latency. If you use PC/Laptop make sure you have turned off auto sleep mode. 

Check the information appearing on the chart if there is any.

Check the pair name is correct, because XAUUSD can be written with many different names like XAUUSDm XAUUSDpro XAUUSDraw or GOLD...

Check your account type is working properly, avoid account types with tag 'disable trade' or 'account with bonus', because brokers usually do not allow EA on bonus.

Check Enable Auto Trading and Allow Live Trading

Check spread

If it is a 3 digit account, you need to edit the parameters Max Spread, Take Profit, Stop Loss, Trailing, Start Trailing with the value x10 default value.

Hello, your pair name is GOLD# which shows that it seems to be a less popular broker.

Some rare cases are brokers that do not allow the use of EAs, or have hidden rules that prevent the operation of EAs.

+ So, check your account status (e.g., disabled trading status, which may prevent you from opening a trade).
+ Check the currency account and lot size: EA calculates lot size according to Balance, if your currency account is JPY, the lot size may be too large and there is not enough balance to open an order, the solution is to use Fixed Lot = your lot size.
+ Try with another more popular broker.

After installing correctly, you just need to be patient. EA (most EA) usually do not open 1 order immediately after installation, signals need time. Just be patient.

You can try with roboforex, cent account type here is also suitable for small balance.

For Gold, there is a time filter (Start Time, End Time) that you can fine-tune to make the EA work most effectively during the seasons. You can consider between your current latency and the speed of price movement in the US session to plan to use the appropriate time filter. If you have high latency (e.g. 50ms or not use VPS) and see that the price moves up to 100 points in 20ms during the US session, it is clear that the EA's order placement speed cannot keep up with the price movement speed, causing your execution price to be worse than during the US session, which is slippage due to latency. From there, you set a filter for the EA to trade only during the Asian session for more stable and consistent results and avoid the risks of high latency.

Example: Time Start: 1:30 Time End: 7:30 to trade consistently and steadily.

There is a way to manage EA like this: start running EA from Asian session, in the first 2 hours if you see good results then continue to let it run for the next 3 to 5 hours. If the profit meets expectations then turn off EA to start again the next day. If in the first 2 to 3 hours of Asian session, the results are bad showing that the day's fluctuations may not be suitable then turn off EA to cut small losses and come back the next day. To control risk and maintain stability.

Gold is very volatile so I usually just let it run during the Asian session then close manual before US seasion.
