I'm a bit confused. I bought this package assuming I would get index data, but this indicator doesn't work without any index data. I want a refund if I can't get it to work.
I've got the answer from the support. Unfortunately, according to the rules of the Market (see p.IV 9):
Products purchased through the Market service can not be returned.
All I can do for you is to remind that as a customer you are now entitled to 20% discount for any other my product. Also I'm usually running special promotion campaigns for which regular customers are eligible, so that you can get other products for free. You may receive details if you PM me. As for this product, it's unfortunately impossible to make a refund due to the Market policies/limitations.
The idea of the product is to get a currency pair "index" from corresponding market indices. Of course, it requires the market indices as input, which is clearly stated in the description. I'm sorry that this was not your expectation, but I'm not sure refunds are possible in the market. I'll check the matter in the service desk.
Stan,
You are wrong. No where in your description does it say that my broker must supply the data feed for the indices. Furthermore, with that being said, why would I pay $49.00 for an indicator that I already have? I can get an equivalent indicator for free here:

Since I did the transaction through Paypal, I have already opened a dispute through them. I shouldn't have a problem getting my money back since the ad is very vague about where these instrument feeds are coming from. FYI, most MT4 brokers DON'T have indices as part of their data feed offerings. I have FXCM, and they don't.
Well, from my point of view the documentation is absolutely clear that you must enter tickers for indices in parameters, and there is no any indication that these indices will be transferred into the indicator by some external means. If it's vague to you, all I can do now is to add a statement in the documentation. Using your logic, you could dispute any product in the market because you did not test the product on the feeds that are available at your broker and did not ask questions before buying it.
I did'h have problems in finding MT4 brokers with indices (as indicatives at least).
I'm not sure I get you when you asking why you bought this indicator - if you have already had a similar product, then I suppose you bought this one by mistake. But this is not my fault.
Also please note, that the link you provided is for OverLayChart, which is completely different to what SyntheticIndex affords.
Please, write to the support regarding the refund. I already did and told you what they said. I'm unable to help you because this is out of my competence.
