Opening Scalper Nasdaq JuanTraderFX uses a well-known fact of the Nasdaq 100: when the first half hour of New York is very strong, the move tends to continue for a while.
HOW IT WORKS
1. The unit: it measures the average range of the 1-minute bars between 9:30 and 10:00 New York (times the square root of 30).
2. The signal: if price moved more than 1 unit in those 30 minutes, the day has momentum. Otherwise there is no trade that day.
3. The entry: at 10:00 it enters at market in the direction of the move.
4. The exit: 1 unit target, 1 unit stop, or closed after 30 minutes. One trade per day.

- Profit factor 1.34 - 353 trades (about 43 per year, 3 per month).
- Max drawdown 5.4% - win rate 56.4% - 7 of 9 years positive.
- Blind period 2023-2026 (data not used to design it): profit factor 1.24.
