Support and resistance levels from six kinds of sources, each with a biography: how many times price tested it, how many breaks failed, the share of tests that held, and whether a break was clean or suspected. Broken levels flip role, and the strongest overlaps become confluence zones.
Levels Memory collects levels from swings, higher timeframe swings, the previous day, week and month, floor pivots, Fibonacci retracements and round numbers. Levels that sit close together are merged into one level that remembers all its sources. Then the indicator replays the chart history bar by bar and writes the life of every level: when it was born, every test, every failed break, the break itself and what happened after it.
Main features
1. Six kinds of level sources. Chart swings, swings of a higher timeframe you choose, previous day, week and month high and low, floor pivots of the previous day, Fibonacci retracements of the last swing, and the round numbers nearest to price. Each source carries a weight, from the lightest for a chart swing to the heaviest for the previous month. Swings are confirmed on closed bars only.
2. Merged levels. Nearby levels become one level, with the sources listed together (for example PDH+Swing H). A source that appears where an older level was already broken or expired starts a new level with its own biography. Every source except the chart swings can be switched off.
3. Level biography. The tooltip of each line shows its full story: tests, tests that held, failed breaks and the break. The hold rate is shown once a level has enough tests. Old levels that were never broken expire.
4. Break quality. Every break is rated by its volume and by what price does next. A break with weak volume is marked suspected at once; otherwise it is marked as checking until a retest makes it clean, or time runs out and it becomes suspected.
5. Role flip. For a while after a break, broken resistance acts as support and broken support acts as resistance. Flipped levels are drawn dashed from the break, and their retests are counted.
6. Confluence zones. Where several levels overlap, their weights add up into a zone. The strongest zones are drawn as shaded boxes, the strongest one darker.
7. Panel. The two nearest levels above and below price with distance, sources, tests and hold rate, the strongest zones with their distance or price inside, the last break with its quality and bars since, flipped levels, alive, broken and expired levels in the scanned history, higher timeframe swings and units. Distances are in pips on forex, 0.10 steps on gold, 0.01 steps on silver and points on indices and crypto. On small charts the panel shows the main rows only. The panel can be minimized; this hides the lines and labels too, and the choice is remembered for the chart.
8. Chart. Alive levels are solid lines, thicker for stronger levels. Broken levels are dotted up to the break. Labels with sources and tests sit right of the last bar next to the nearest levels and zones, and never cover the panel. The default colours adapt to light chart backgrounds; colours you choose are kept.
9. Alerts. A test of an alive level, a break, and a retest of a flipped level. Alerts are checked on closed bars, once per bar and level, and never fire when the indicator loads or the timeframe changes. Popup, sound, push notification and e-mail.
Inputs
Every level source except the chart swings, and every line, zone, label and alert, can be switched on or off. History depth, higher timeframe, sensitivity of merging, breaks and zones, colours and panel position are adjustable. Values outside the allowed range are refused at start, each with one clear message in the Experts log.
For expert advisor developers (buffers)
Buffer 0: nearest resistance. Buffer 1: its tests. Buffer 2: its hold rate in percent. Buffer 3: nearest support. Buffer 4: its tests. Buffer 5: its hold rate. Buffers 6 and 7: low and high of the strongest zone. Buffer 8: its weight. Buffer 9: price of the last broken level. Buffer 10: break direction (1 up, -1 down). Buffer 11: break quality (0 checking, 1 clean, 2 suspected). Buffer 12: bars since the break. Buffer 13: alive levels. Values are written on the last closed bar and the forming bar, measured at the close of the last closed bar; read shift 1. Where there is no value the buffer is empty (EMPTY_VALUE). The buffers are not drawn.
Any symbol and timeframe with enough history: forex, gold, silver, indices and crypto. Higher timeframe swings need a chart below the chosen timeframe.
Display and alerts only. It does not trade, uses no DLL and no web requests. In the Strategy Tester the panel refreshes on each new bar, popup alerts are written to the journal, and a small TESTER DEMO tag is shown.
The biography describes how price behaved around each level in the past on this chart. It does not predict future price, and no indicator guarantees results. Trading involves risk.
