GoldLab Trend Pullback is an Expert Advisor for XAUUSD (Gold) that trades with the trend and waits for a pullback before entering. Every trade has a stop-loss, and the position size is calculated from your account balance.
HOW IT TRADES
- Trend filter: only trades in the direction of the H4 EMA 50 trend.
- Market regime: uses ADX and DI on H1 to separate trending from ranging conditions. In a trend it looks for pullback entries; in between it waits.
- Entry: on the M15 chart, price must pull back to the EMA 20 and close back in the trend direction.
- Optional range mode (off by default): Bollinger Bands + RSI mean-reversion entries when ADX is low.
RISK MANAGEMENT
- Risk % per trade: the lot is sized so that hitting the stop-loss costs about the chosen % of balance (default 1%). A fixed lot can be used instead.
- ATR stop-loss (default 1.5 x ATR H1) that adapts to volatility.
- Break-even at 0.8R and an ATR trailing stop that lets winning trades run.
- Closes the trade if the trend or market regime turns against it (can be switched off).
- Daily loss limit (default 3% of balance) and a pause after 3 losses in a row.
- Free-margin check before every order; the lot is reduced or the trade is skipped if margin is insufficient.
FILTERS
- Maximum spread, up to three no-entry time windows (default 00:00-06:00 server time) and a high-impact USD news filter using the built-in MT5 economic calendar.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Symbol: XAUUSD (or your broker's gold symbol). Chart timeframe: any; the EA uses M15 / H1 / H4 internally.
- Account: hedging or netting. Low-spread accounts are preferred for gold.
- Start on a demo account with the default 1% risk. Use a VPS for 24/5 operation.
- Run one instance per symbol, or give each instance a different magic number.

This EA does not use martingale, grid or averaging. Every position has a stop-loss.
