Pitbull is a gold (XAU/USD) Expert Advisor where every trade is born with its stop loss and take profit already on your broker's server. No grid, no martingale, no averaging down. In Strategy Tester backtests with real ticks, the default Balanced profile returned +478% in 2025 with a 14% drawdown.
Pitbull is designed to run on its own on a slice of your account: the profile you choose sets the estimated loss of every trade before it opens, the stop is on the server the moment the order is accepted, the lot follows your balance, and you check the panel once a day. In the backtests, tick by tick from January 2021 to September 2026, 47 of 69 months closed positive on the Balanced profile, with 2025 at +478% and 2026 at +653% through September.
Launch price: 99 USD · 10 copies before 149 USD · final price: 2,999 USD.
Return, stops and risk control
- Return in the backtests: on the Balanced profile, +107% in 2023, +34% in 2024, +478% in 2025 and +653% through September 2026, with a maximum drawdown between 14% and 31% in each of those years. On Maximum, the profile with the most risk, 2025 closed at +1,615% with a 23% drawdown.
- Stops: every trade has its stop loss and take profit stored on the broker's server from the first second. If your terminal goes down, the trade stays protected. One entry per trade, and the lot never multiplies after a loss.
- Risk control: the profile you choose sets the estimated cost of a trade at its stop, from about 1% of your balance on Conservative to 5% on Maximum. On top of that: a daily loss limit, a lot cap, an optional pause around high-impact US news and an optional Short Friday.
Backtest results, year by year
Measured in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester with every tick based on real ticks from Vantage (XAUUSD+), real spread and commission, and 1:500 leverage. Each year restarts at 10,000 USD, so one year can't hide another. Each cell shows the year's return / that year's maximum equity drawdown, measured on every tick.

- Without restarting each year (same backtest, January 2021 to September 2026, Balanced, 10,000 USD, lot growing with the account): 47 of 69 months closed positive, with a profit factor of 2.87 (2.87 dollars won for every dollar lost) and a maximum drawdown of 44%, in 2022. That last figure is the one to size your account by. The worst month was January 2021, at -21.6%.
- Why the numbers grow so fast: the automatic lot follows your balance, so gains raise the lot of the next trades, and losses lower it. That is compounding, and in 2025 and 2026 it ran into a strong gold rally. Those were exceptional years, not a rate to project forward.
- The weak years were 2022 and 2024: -16% and +34% on Balanced, with drawdowns of 44% and 30%. From 2021 to 2024, 26 of 48 months closed positive; in 2025 and 2026, all 21 did.

How Pitbull works
Pitbull is a MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor for gold (XAUUSD, or GOLD depending on your broker). It runs on its own, on a single chart, and its job comes down to four things:
- Waiting for the moment. Pitbull watches gold and only enters when price confirms the move. The rest of the time, it waits.
- Entering already protected. The order goes to the server with its stop loss and take profit attached. There is no trade without a stop, not even for a second.
- Managing the trade. From the first second to the close, Pitbull looks after every trade. The stop is placed at entry and is never moved further away.
- Compounding. The automatic lot follows your balance: gains raise the lot of the next trades, and losses lower it.
Stops and risk per profile
A pit bull is strength with discipline: it goes in hard, and it knows before going in roughly how much it can lose. Losses are part of the design, and the profile you choose sets the estimated cost of a trade at its stop:
| Profile | One trade at its stop (estimate) | In dollars, 10,000 USD account |
|---|---|---|
| Conservative | about 1% of balance | about 100 USD |
| Moderate | about 2% | about 200 USD |
| Balanced (default) | about 3% | about 300 USD |
| Aggressive | about 4% | about 400 USD |
| Maximum | about 5% | about 500 USD |
On a gap the exit can go past the stop. In the backtests, the worst trade on Balanced cost 11.4% of the balance, and the worst day, the same US payroll day in July 2024, cost 25% in all; with the news pause on, that day would have cost 15%.
Pitbull runs from 100 USD, but the lot never goes below 0.01, so on small accounts a trade at its stop weighs more than the profile says: on 100 USD, every profile trades 0.01, a trade at its stop costs about 9% of the account, and that worst trade would have cost about a third. Balanced works as described from about 300 USD, and every profile from about 1,000 USD. That is why we recommend 1,000 USD.
Few settings, on purpose
| Risk profile | Conservative, Moderate, Balanced (default), Aggressive or Maximum. Choosing the profile is the whole setup; there is no set file to download. |
| Lot | Automatic, growing with the account, calculated on balance, equity or a fixed amount (Pitbull's slice of the account, for sharing it with other EAs). Or a fixed lot. |
| Lot cap | A maximum lot per trade, in any mode. |
| Daily loss limit | In percent of the balance: stop opening trades until the next day, or close the open trades and stop until the next day. It counts Pitbull's closed and open loss for the day against the balance at the start of the day, and resets when the server's day turns. Off by default. |
| News | From 30 minutes before to 30 minutes after each high-impact US release, pending orders come off the server and no new trade opens. Live, it uses MetaTrader's own calendar; in backtests, a calendar built into Pitbull. Off by default: turned on, the worst day gets smaller and so does the return (details in the manual). |
| Short Friday | For accounts that cannot hold anything over the weekend: from the Friday hour you choose (GMT+2, GMT+3 in summer), Pitbull opens no new trades and takes its pending orders off the server. Off by default. We recommend 21:00: in the backtests of 2025 and 2026, that cut cost nothing. |
| Panel | Account, execution (spread, slippage, ping), risk (profile, lot, open trades, the EA's current and maximum drawdown) and results for the day, week, month and all time. It also shows in the Strategy Tester's visual mode. |
Your broker's time zone is detected automatically, daylight saving time included. The log is in English and shows only the settings and errors.
Who it's for
- Traders who want an EA that compounds with their balance, without spending the day in front of a chart.
- Traders who only accept trades with a stop on the server, from the first second.
- Portfolio builders who need an EA that works on a fixed slice of the account.
- Prop firm traders, with a fixed lot and the daily loss limit (example in the FAQ).
Who it's not for
- Anyone looking for a robot that never loses. That robot doesn't exist. Pitbull has losses, and the profile you choose sets their estimated size.
- Anyone who wants to double their account in the first week. The large numbers in the tables come from compounding over several years, not from bigger bets.
- Anyone who needs to tweak everything. Here the setup is the risk profile. If you'd rather control every detail, this isn't your EA.
- Anyone who expects a trade every day. On many days Pitbull doesn't enter, and those are the days its filter is doing its job.
- Anyone who buys without testing. Run the free demo on your broker first. If the result doesn't convince you, don't buy.
Requirements
| Platform | MetaTrader 5, hedging account |
| Symbol | Gold quoted in USD, under any name (XAUUSD, XAUUSD+, GOLD, XAUUSD.m...) |
| Account | Start at 100 USD. 1,000 USD or more recommended |
| Leverage | 1:100 or higher, for any profile |
| Terminal | The stop and the target live on the server, but the EA manages each trade: keep the terminal on (VPS recommended) |
| Chart | One gold chart, any timeframe |
Your first 10 minutes
- Download the free demo and run 2025 and 2026 in the Strategy Tester with "Every tick based on real ticks".
- On the terminal that will stay on (ideally a VPS), open a gold chart and drag Pitbull Gold onto it.
- Choose the Conservative profile and turn on Algo Trading.
- Check the panel: Algo, Hedging and Gold should all be ticked.
After a month live, if it behaves the way you expected, move up a profile.
Price
Today: 99 USD. 10 copies left before the price goes up to 149 USD.
The price rises with sales, never with the calendar: +50 USD every 10 copies up to 999 USD, then +100 USD every 10 copies up to 2,499 USD. After that, it rises with demand, up to a final price of 2,999 USD. Every buyer keeps the price they paid and gets every update.
| From copy | 1 | 11 | 21 | 81 | 181 | 281 | 331 | after |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price (USD) | 99 | 149 | 199 | 499 | 999 | 1,999 | 2,499 | up to 2,999 |
Why it goes up: Pitbull is new on the Market. Early buyers take on more uncertainty and pay less for it. Later buyers will have more months of live history to check, and they pay for that certainty.
Rental: 1 month for 30 USD during the launch. The Market doesn't offer refunds, so the free demo and the rental are how you see Pitbull on your own broker before paying full price.
FAQ
Is it martingale? Is it a grid?
No. Every trade has one entry, with its stop and target on the server. The lot only grows with the balance, never after a loss.
Is the stop held on the broker's server?
Yes, from the first second. If your terminal shuts down, the trade stays protected by the server's stop and target. Even so, keep the terminal on: Pitbull manages every trade while it is open.
Does it work with prop firms?
Yes, with a fixed lot sized to the firm's limits (usually 5% daily loss and 10% overall). In the backtests, on the worst day, Pitbull lost about 70 USD per 0.01 lot, with gold at about 4,230 USD an ounce. The table below puts that day at about 4% of the account, leaving one percentage point of headroom under the 5% daily limit.
| Account (USD) | 5,000 | 10,000 | 25,000 | 50,000 | 100,000 | 200,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fixed lot | 0.02 | 0.05 | 0.14 | 0.28 | 0.57 | 1.14 |
Set "Lot mode" to "Fixed lot size", enter the same value in "Max lot per trade", set the daily loss limit to "close and pause for the day" at 4.5%, and turn on the news filter. Make sure your firm allows EAs and hedging.
Does it work with a small account?
It runs from 100 USD, but we recommend 1,000 USD. Below that, the lot stays at the 0.01 minimum, and a trade at its stop weighs more on the balance than the profile says: about 9% of a 100 USD account.
Which profile should I choose?
Start on Conservative. After a month live, if it behaves as expected, move up. In the backtests, each step up brought more return, with a larger drawdown alongside it: in 2025, from +81% with a 5% drawdown on Conservative to +1,615% with a 23% drawdown on Maximum.
Why doesn't it trade every day?
Pitbull only enters when price confirms the move. On many days that doesn't happen, and it waits.
What about weekends?
In the backtests from 2021 to September 2026, no trade was carried over a weekend. Pending orders can fill at Monday's open; to leave nothing on the server over the weekend, set Short Friday to 21.
Can I run it alongside other EAs?
Yes. Give it its own magic number and calculate the lot on a fixed amount, the slice of the account you've given Pitbull.
Will my test match yours?
It will come close with real ticks. Your broker's spread, commission, swap and time zone change the result, and a live account adds latency and more slippage than the tester shows. Slippage weighs on Pitbull: in the continuous Balanced backtest, an extra 0.10 USD per ounce on every entry and exit would have taken 2025 from +405% to +337% and 2026 from +663% to +591%. In earlier years, with gold cheaper and stops smaller in dollars, the same slippage weighed more: 2024 would have gone from +26% to about 0%.
