RAKKA SHORT REVERSION
TWO PAIRS. ONE SHORT-SIDE ENGINE.
When price blooms upward, Rakka trades only the potential fall.
Rakka Short Reversion is a rules-based MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor for USDJPY and EURUSD. It evaluates completed M5 bars, waits for a fresh upside extension and opens new SELL baskets only. The AUTO profile identifies USDJPY or EURUSD from the symbol currencies, including ordinary broker suffixes, and loads dedicated settings for that pair.
This is a deterministic trading system. It does not use AI, machine learning, DLLs, WebRequest, external files, external indicators or third-party APIs.

All displayed tests used Phillip Securities Japan history, M5 data, JPY 1,000,000 initial deposit, leverage 1:25, fixed 0.04 initial lot, maximum six levels and no balance compounding. The EURUSD full result contains its recent period, and the USDJPY long result contains its recent period; profits must not be added.
These are MT5 Strategy Tester simulations, not live or forward results. The USDJPY long report's 57% history quality is an important limitation. Spreads, commission, swap, slippage, leverage, broker time, symbol specification and price history can materially change results.
HOW RAKKA WORKS
1. Reads the most recently completed M5 bar.
2. Looks for the first transition into an upside-extension state using displacement from SMA20 and an RSI extreme.
3. Trend, completed-bar shock and extreme Bollinger/trend filters can reject the setup.
4. On an accepted signal, attempts the initial SELL on the next eligible M5 bar.
5. If price continues rising, can add SELL positions at ATR- and activity-adjusted intervals.
6. Later grid intervals expand by 1.5x. The Standard basket is capped at six entries.
7. From level two onward, the basket seeks a close below its volume-weighted average entry.
8. A common server-side stop and a pair-specific maximum holding time remain active.
Rakka reacts only to a fresh completed-bar transition. It does not open a new basket on every bar merely because the market remains overbought.
DEDICATED PAIR PROFILES
USDJPY
- Upside extension threshold: 2.60 ATR
- Initial adaptive spacing: 1.35 ATR before activity adjustment
- Basket target: 2.50 pips below weighted average, active from level 2
- Maximum holding time: 2,160 hours / 90 days
EURUSD
- Upside extension threshold: 2.55 ATR
- Initial adaptive spacing: 1.40 ATR before activity adjustment
- Basket target: 2.75 pips below weighted average, active from level 2
- Maximum holding time: 720 hours / 30 days
AUTO is the recommended profile. Manual USDJPY and EURUSD selections are provided for controlled testing. Forcing a profile onto the wrong pair is not recommended.
STANDARD BASKET
With a 0.01-lot broker step, the requested Standard sequence is approximately:
0.04 / 0.06 / 0.09 / 0.14 / 0.20 / 0.30 lot
Maximum requested combined volume is approximately 0.83 lot. Broker volume steps can change the rounded sequence. Rakka checks symbol volume rules and available margin before requesting an entry.
The Standard one-level basket has no fixed take-profit. Its exits are the pair-specific maximum holding time and the common hard stop. The weighted-average target begins at level two. A first position is not guaranteed to close after a small move.
RECOMMENDED SETUP
- Platform: MetaTrader 5
- Supported symbols: USDJPY and EURUSD, including ordinary suffix variants with correct base/profit currencies
- Internal strategy timeframe: M5
- Chart timeframe: any; M5 recommended for clarity
- Account type: hedging or netting
- Standard first volume: 0.04 lot
- Default pair profile: AUTO
- Continuous operation recommended while a basket is open
To run both profiles, attach Rakka to one USDJPY chart and one EURUSD chart. Do not mix manual positions or another EA on the same symbol, especially on a netting account. Rakka's state identity includes the account, server, symbol and Magic Number.
The broker-server-to-UTC setting must match the broker. Published tests used fixed UTC+9. The default live preset uses European DST, winter UTC+2 and summer UTC+3, which is common but not universal.

RISK NOTICE
Rakka is a capped grid and martingale-style averaging system. It adds progressively larger SELL positions while price moves against the basket. Position count, combined volume, required margin and floating loss can rise together and nonlinearly.
A persistent upward trend, central-bank surprise, intervention-related move, gap, spread expansion, reduced liquidity, trading halt, communication failure or broker execution difference can produce a large loss, margin closeout or execution beyond the intended stop price. Six levels cap the configured ladder; they do not make the strategy low risk.
The 750-pip server-side stop is wide and is not a guaranteed maximum loss. Client-side grid, target and time-exit management requires MetaTrader 5, the EA, the computer or VPS and the network to continue operating. The server-side stop normally remains registered when the terminal is offline, but gaps and slippage remain possible.
JPY 1,000,000 is a historical test condition, not a guaranteed safe balance. Changing lot size or any input changes exposure and invalidates direct comparison with displayed tests. Use the Strategy Tester and a demo account under your exact broker conditions before considering live use.
THE NAME
Rakka comes from the Japanese word 落花: falling petals. The strategy waits for an upward move to bloom, then trades only the possible fall.
