Nasdaq M5 Scalper
Nasdaq M5 Scalper is an automated Expert Advisor designed for short-term trading on Nasdaq-related instruments using the M5 timeframe.
The EA is built to work with different broker symbol names. It trades the symbol of the chart on which it is attached, allowing compatibility with common Nasdaq naming variations such as NAS100, US100, US_100, USTEC, USTECH, US_TECH, NASDAQ, NDX, NQ100, NQ_100 and TECH100.
TRADING LOGIC
The strategy uses a fast 2-out-of-3 signal scoring system designed for M5 trading.
The three main conditions are:
1. EMA 20 and EMA 50 direction
2. Price position relative to EMA 20
3. Current M5 candle direction
A trade signal can be generated when at least 2 of the 3 conditions agree in the same direction.
BUY LOGIC
A BUY score is increased when:
- EMA 20 is above EMA 50
- Price is above EMA 20
- The M5 candle is bullish
When at least two BUY conditions are satisfied and the BUY score is stronger than the SELL score, the EA can open a BUY position.
SELL LOGIC
A SELL score is increased when:
- EMA 20 is below EMA 50
- Price is below EMA 20
- The M5 candle is bearish
When at least two SELL conditions are satisfied and the SELL score is stronger than the BUY score, the EA can open a SELL position.
FAST M5 EXECUTION
By default, the EA can evaluate the current M5 candle for a faster response to short-term market movements.
The strategy is designed to avoid unnecessarily restrictive entry conditions while still requiring multiple conditions to agree before a trade is attempted.
RISK MANAGEMENT
The EA includes automatic risk-based position sizing.
Default settings:
- Risk per trade: 0.50%
- Maximum lot size: 1.00 lot
- Optional fixed lot mode
- ATR-based Stop Loss
- 1:1 Risk/Reward ratio
- Spread protection
- Margin verification
- Broker stop-level protection
Lot size is calculated using the trading specifications of the current broker symbol. This is especially important for Nasdaq instruments because contract size, tick value, minimum volume and volume step can differ between brokers.
STOP LOSS
Stop Loss is dynamically calculated using Average True Range (ATR).
Default settings:
- ATR Period: 14
- ATR Multiplier: 1.20
The EA also considers the broker's minimum stop distance, freeze level, spread and tick size when calculating valid protective levels.
TAKE PROFIT
The default Risk/Reward ratio is 1:1.
This means the Take Profit distance is designed to correspond to the effective Stop Loss distance.
For example, if the effective Stop Loss represents a 10-point price distance from the entry, the Take Profit target is calculated using approximately the same risk distance.
CONSECUTIVE LOSS PROTECTION
The EA includes consecutive-loss protection.
Default settings:
- Consecutive Loss Limit: 3
- Trading Pause: 60 minutes
After three consecutive losing trades belonging to this EA, new entries are paused for 60 minutes.
After the pause expires, trading can automatically resume.
A profitable closed trade resets the consecutive-loss counter.
POSITION MANAGEMENT
The EA uses a unique Magic Number to identify its own positions.
By default, only one position belonging to this Expert Advisor is allowed on the same symbol at a time.
This helps separate its position management from other Expert Advisors using different Magic Numbers.
FLEXIBLE NASDAQ SYMBOL SUPPORT
Different brokers use different names for Nasdaq-related instruments.
The EA therefore uses the symbol of the chart on which it is attached instead of requiring one fixed symbol name.
An optional Nasdaq symbol filter is also included and supports common naming variations.
The filter is disabled by default for broader broker compatibility.
TRADING SAFETY CHECKS
Before attempting an order, the EA checks:
- Terminal trading permission
- Expert Advisor trading permission
- Account trading permission
- Symbol trading mode
- Broker trading session
- Current spread
- Available margin
- Minimum Stop Loss and Take Profit requirements
The EA does not use:
- Martingale
- Grid trading
- Averaging down
- Recovery lot multiplication
