Kumo Confluence Signals MT5
Kumo Confluence Signals MT5 is a chart-window indicator for MetaTrader 5. It combines standard Ichimoku components into completed-candle BUY and SELL arrows, so trend direction, cloud structure and entry timing can be reviewed on one chart.
The indicator uses only Ichimoku calculations: Tenkan-sen, Kijun-sen, Senkou Span A, Senkou Span B and Chikou Span. It does not open, close or manage trades.
Signal method
An arrow is evaluated only after the relevant candle has closed. Price must be beyond the current Kumo and an entry event must occur:
- Tenkan/Kijun direction change
- Kijun pullback and recovery
- Kumo breakout
Each signal receives a confluence score from seven Ichimoku checks: Tenkan/Kijun alignment, Kijun position relative to the cloud, future Kumo direction, Chikou clearance, Tenkan slope, Kumo width and distance from Kijun.
Quality levels
- Balanced - Default setting. Requires four of seven checks and provides a practical starting point.
- Elite - Requires six of seven checks for more selective signals.
- Active - Requires three of seven checks for users who prefer more signals and apply additional discretion.
Entry models
- All entry events - Evaluates crosses, Kijun retests and Kumo breakouts. This is the default.
- Tenkan/Kijun cross only - Evaluates new line crosses only.
- Kijun retest only - Evaluates a completed pullback to Kijun in the trend direction.
- Kumo breakout only - Evaluates the first completed close beyond the cloud.
Inputs
The default Ichimoku periods are 9, 26 and 52. Users can adjust the periods, quality level, entry model, Chikou rule, minimum cloud width, maximum Kijun distance, arrow spacing and alert methods from the input window.
Hidden output buffers expose signal direction (+1 BUY / -1 SELL) and confluence score for other MQL5 programs that read indicator buffers.
Use
Attach the indicator to any symbol and timeframe. Start with the default settings and observe its behavior on the symbol and timeframe you trade. The arrows are analytical signals, not trading instructions. The user remains responsible for trade selection, stop placement, position size and risk management.
Technical notes
Kumo Confluence Signals MT5 does not use DLLs, WebRequest, external licensing, external data feeds or automated order execution. It uses closed candles to avoid live-candle signal changes.
