Fibo Autopilot

Fibo Autopilot — automatic Fibonacci retracement

Fibo Autopilot detects swings on a timeframe you choose and draws the Fibonacci retracement for you - no manual anchoring, no re-dragging the tool every time price makes a new high or low. It follows the live extremum tick by tick and rebuilds itself once price retraces past the 61.8% level, so it stays in sync with the current move without you touching the chart.

How it works

  • The indicator scans 5-candle fractals on the timeframe you select to find the current swing (its origin and its most recent extreme).
  • The 0% point follows the live price on every tick: as long as price keeps making new extremes in the direction of the move, the retracement extends with it.
  • Once price retraces to 70% of that swing, the retracement is invalidated and Fibo Autopilot waits for the next qualifying swing to lock a new one.
  • A swing that's too small relative to recent volatility is ignored, so the indicator doesn't lock onto market noise.

Because the 0% point moves with live price, the drawn levels update in real time — the same way they would if you kept manually dragging a Fibonacci tool to the latest high or low. This is expected behavior, not a signal repaint: Fibo Autopilot doesn't generate trade signals or alerts, it's a visual retracement tool.

Calculate on one timeframe, display on another

The timeframe used to detect the swing (Calculation source) is independent from the chart you attach the indicator to. Want a weekly-based retracement while trading off an H1 chart? Set InpFiboTimeframe to W1 and keep your H1 chart open.

The source timeframe is restricted to MN1, W1, D1, H4, H1, M30, M15, M5 - timeframes the swing-detection logic has actually been checked against. To avoid clutter, the retracement is only displayed on charts whose period is equal to or lower (faster) than the selected source timeframe; on a higher chart timeframe it stays hidden until you switch down.

Full native customization

Fibo Autopilot uses real MetaTrader 5 plots for its 5 levels, so line color, style and width are set from the indicator's native Colors tab — no need to dig through a long inputs list. Use the native Visualization tab to control which chart timeframes it's shown on.

Price labels (the text next to each level) are configured separately: font, size, color, and how far they sit to the right and above the line.

Inputs

  • Calculation source — timeframe used to detect the swing (MN1 to M5, see above).
  • Fibonacci levels (ratios) — the 5 ratios drawn (defaults: 0, 0.382, 0.5, 0.618, 1.0). Change them to any ratio you use.
  • Price labels — show/hide, font, font size, color (or match each level's line color), horizontal and vertical offset.
  • Misc — prefix used for the chart objects the indicator creates.
