BY Strategy — Smart Money Concepts MTF (Structure + Order Blocks + FVG)
A complete multi-timeframe Smart Money Concepts indicator for MT5 — market structure (BOS/CHoCH), dual-layer Order Blocks, Fair Value Gaps, and Strong/Weak level tracking, calculated on both your current chart and a higher timeframe simultaneously. Works on all timeframes and instruments.
BY Strategy — Smart Money Concepts MTF brings institutional price action analysis directly to your MT5 chart, across two timeframes at once. The indicator identifies how smart money moves markets by mapping market structure breaks, order block zones, imbalances, and key liquidity levels — all in real time, on your entry timeframe and a higher context timeframe together.
What it draws:
Multi-Timeframe Structure — Choose any Higher Timeframe (HTF) alongside your live chart (LTF). Both are analyzed independently and plotted together, so you can see higher-timeframe bias and lower-timeframe entries on a single chart. HTF structure is projected forward on your chart's own time axis, so H1 or H4 zones line up correctly even when you're viewing M5.
Market Structure — Two independent structure layers are tracked on each timeframe. The Swing layer (configurable lookback, default 50) identifies major highs and lows. The Internal layer (3-bar pivots) tracks minor structure shifts inside the swing. Each break is labelled BOS (Break of Structure, trend continuation) or CHoCH (Change of Character, trend reversal). Bullish breaks render in green, bearish in red, with fully separate color sets for HTF and LTF so you can always tell which timeframe a level belongs to.
Order Blocks — Every BOS/CHoCH automatically identifies the last opposing candle before the break as an order block, on both timeframes. Zones are split into two halves: premium (entry zone) and extended (beyond 50%), with the midline clearly marked with its price. OBs are mitigated automatically when price revisits and closes through them, removing clutter. You can control how many swing OBs and internal OBs are displayed at once.
Fair Value Gaps (FVG) — Three-candle imbalances are detected for both bullish and bearish gaps, on HTF and LTF. An ATR-based auto-threshold filters out insignificant gaps. FVGs are mitigated at 50% (when price returns to the midpoint of the gap), keeping the chart clean.
Strong and Weak Levels — The most recently confirmed swing high/low on each timeframe is classified as Strong (acts as support/resistance) or Weak (likely to be taken out next) based on the current trend direction. The weak level trails dynamically as price extends, updating continuously until a new pivot confirms.
Swing Point Labels — Optional HH / HL / LH / LL labels at every confirmed swing pivot, giving a quick visual read of trend structure.
Key Features:
- True multi-timeframe engine: HTF + LTF structure, OBs, and FVGs calculated and displayed together
- Dual structure layers per timeframe: Swing (configurable) + Internal (3-bar)
- BOS / CHoCH labelling with trend-aware color coding
- Split order block zones with 50% midline and price label
- ATR-filtered OB detection — ignores low-quality candles
- HL/close-based OB mitigation (configurable)
- Bullish and bearish FVGs with auto-threshold and 50% mitigation
- Trailing Strong/Weak High and Low levels, per timeframe
- No repainting on confirmed bars — live bar is excluded from structure detection
- Works on all timeframes and symbols (Forex, indices, crypto, commodities)
Settings overview: Inputs are streamlined into simple groups — Timeframe Settings, Structure Settings, Order Block Settings, and Fair Value Gap Settings — each with a single set of controls that governs both HTF and LTF together, so there's no duplicate configuration to manage. Colors remain separate for HTF and LTF so the two timeframes stay visually distinct on the chart.
Recommended setup: LTF: M5 or M15 for entries. HTF: H1 or H4 for bias and context. Internal structure is most meaningful on the lower timeframe; swing structure and HTF order blocks work best on H1 and above.
