Phantom Trading System — Failed Fakey Reversal Indicator for MetaTrader 5
Overview Phantom Trading System detects the Failed Fakey pattern on completed bars: a 2-phase structure in which a standard Fakey formation is detected and then monitored for a subsequent failure of its reversal. When the failure is confirmed within a configurable bar window, a signal fires in the direction of the second break. All signals are non-repainting; values do not change after bar close. The indicator draws entry, stop loss, and take profit levels and is fully compatible with Mirage Trading System running on the same chart simultaneously.
How Detection Works Detection runs as a 2-phase process on every completed bar. Phase 1 identifies a complete standard Fakey: a Range Candle establishing a price boundary, one to three Inside Bars compressing within it, a False Breakout Candle that penetrates the boundary but closes back inside, and a Confirmation Candle that closes within the range in the reversal direction. When all four components satisfy their threshold requirements, the formation enters the Phase 2 monitoring queue; no chart mark is drawn at this stage. Phase 2 monitors the registered candidate over a configurable number of subsequent bars. If price closes through the opposite boundary of the original range with sufficient penetration depth within that window, the failure is confirmed and a Phantom signal fires in the direction of the second break. If the monitoring window expires without a confirmed failure, the candidate is discarded entirely. The window length is adjustable per timeframe.
Scoring and Signal Classification Each confirmed Phantom signal is evaluated through 17 factors across five components: Range Candle (5 factors), Inside Bars (3 factors), False Breakout Candle (5 factors), Confirmation Candle (3 factors), and a formation-speed context factor. Each measurement produces a value between 0.0 and 1.0. Signals below the minimum score threshold are discarded silently. Scored candidates then enter a 4-layer pipeline. Layer A uses the composite score as the base input. Layer B performs 11 inter-component cross-checks. Layer C evaluates surrounding context including structure alignment, momentum direction at the time of failure, and proximity to support and resistance. Layer D combines all outputs into a final confluence score and assigns one of four signal tiers — SOLO, CONFIRMED, STRONG, or ULTRA — displayed on the chart. After a signal is placed, an Exit Signal Monitor evaluates each subsequent bar for reversal formations and escalates through three levels: CAUTION, WARNING, and CRITICAL.
Trading Levels and Filters Each valid signal draws Entry, Stop Loss, and four Take Profit levels (0.5R, 1.0R, 1.5R, 2.0R) with pip distance and R:R labels. Zone fill rectangles shade risk and reward areas. Stop Loss uses either a Donchian Channel projection or an ATR multiplier. A trailing stop activates on signal and locks at breakeven when the first Take Profit is reached. Five independent filters operate between the Signal Engine and chart display: Direction Filter (structure-aligned or manual lock), Extreme Zone Filter (overbought/oversold suppression), Stoploss Hunt Filter (swing level sweep validation), Signal Zone Filter (structural proximity), and Opposite Signal Filter (conflicting signal suppression). All five are individually enabled or disabled.
Scanner, Alerts, and Presets The built-in scanner monitors up to 150 symbols across 8 timeframes from a single chart, running the full 2-phase detection pipeline on each combination. BOS and CHOCH events are labeled with swing sequence notation. A statistics panel displays signal count, detection rate, and active signal status. Four chart themes are included; original colors restore on removal. Alerts fire through desktop popup, sound, mobile push, and email. All values are exposed through output buffers for Expert Advisor integration via iCustom. The indicator uses a unique chart object prefix and can run simultaneously with Mirage Trading System without conflict. Three presets are available: Quality mode for stricter thresholds, Quantity mode for broader detection, and Custom mode for full manual control including Phase 2 window length.
Companion Tools Each purchase includes access to three companion tools at no additional cost.
