MBX – Momentum Breakout Executor (MT5 Expert Advisor)
A simple, disciplined trading robot built around risk control and smart execution.
MBX is an automated trading tool for MetaTrader 5 designed to help traders execute breakout trades with structure, discipline, and strong risk management.
This is not a “get rich quick” robot.
MBX was built for traders who want automation that focuses on:
✅ Controlled trading
✅ Simple rules
✅ Limited trades
✅ Proper risk management
✅ Long-term consistency
Most beginner traders lose money because they overtrade or risk too much.
MBX helps reduce those mistakes by following a strict system.
Many retail EAs trade too often, use dangerous recovery systems (grid/martingale), or open trades randomly.
MBX was built with the opposite philosophy:
Trade less, trade smarter, control risk.
MBX is designed to be:
-
Clean and lightweight
-
Disciplined (not aggressive)
-
Risk-first (you stay in control)
MBX looks for momentum breakout opportunities.
This means it trades when the market shows a strong move away from a key level, instead of trading in slow or choppy conditions.
It is best used on fast-moving markets such as:
-
USTEC / NAS100
MBX includes a special feature called the Risk Ladder, which is rare in most retail EAs.
Instead of using one fixed lot size, MBX allows you to choose different risk levels in dollars.
These inputs are:
-
RiskLevel1_USD
-
RiskLevel2_USD
-
RiskLevel3_USD
-
RiskLevel4_USD
-
RiskLevel5_USD
What does this mean?
You can decide how much money you want to risk per trade.
Example:
-
RiskLevel1_USD = $10
-
RiskLevel2_USD = $20
-
RiskLevel3_USD = $30
-
RiskLevel4_USD = $40
-
RiskLevel5_USD = $50
This gives you full control.
Recommended for beginners:
Start small:
-
RiskLevel1_USD = $5–$10
-
Keep higher levels low until you gain experience
MBX is designed to work best when used safely and patiently.
⚙️ Main Inputs Explained (Beginner-Friendly)Session Start / Session End (HH:MM Server Time)
These inputs allow you to choose when MBX is allowed to trade.
Example:
-
Start: 08:00
-
End: 18:00
This helps avoid low-quality hours.
ForceCloseAtSessionEnd
-
If set to true, MBX will close open trades when the session ends.
-
This prevents holding trades overnight.
Recommended: true
MaxTradesPerSession
This limits how many trades MBX can take in one session.
Recommended:
-
Beginners: 1 trade per session
This prevents overtrading.
RR (Reward-to-Risk Target)
This controls the Take Profit target compared to the Stop Loss.
Example:
-
RR = 2.0 means the EA targets 2x the risk
Balanced default: 2.0
MagicNumber
This is an ID that keeps MBX trades separate from other EAs.
No action needed for most users.
DebugPrint
For advanced users only (used for logging).
Recommended: false

🔧 Important Update (Marketplace Safety Inputs)
To ensure MBX runs smoothly across different brokers, account sizes, and the MQL5 Market testing system, version 3.5 includes two important safety improvements.
These do not change the strategy logic — they simply make the EA more robust for real users.
1️⃣ SL_BufferPoints (Stop Loss Safety Buffer)
MBX places its Stop Loss based on the expansion structure candle.
However, some brokers (especially on Forex pairs) require the Stop Loss to be placed a minimum distance away from the entry price.
That is why MBX includes:
SL_BufferPoints
This adds a small extra buffer beyond the natural structure Stop Loss.
✅ Recommended Settings
-
Indices (USTEC, US30, DAX, etc.):
SL_BufferPoints = 0 – 20 -
Forex pairs (EURUSD, GBPUSD, etc.):
SL_BufferPoints = 300 – 600
📌 This input exists mainly for broker compatibility — the core MBX edge remains the same.
2️⃣ Margin-Safe Lot Adjustment (Auto Lot Downscaling)
MBX uses a professional Risk Ladder system, where you choose the risk per trade in fixed USD:
-
RiskLevel1_USD
-
RiskLevel2_USD
-
RiskLevel3_USD
-
RiskLevel4_USD
-
RiskLevel5_USD
However, small accounts or high-margin instruments (like Gold) may sometimes not have enough free margin to open the full calculated position size.
✅ New Safety Feature in v3.5
If margin is insufficient, MBX will automatically:
-
Reduce the lot size to the maximum affordable amount
-
Avoid trade rejection errors such as “No money”
This makes MBX safer for:
-
Small accounts
-
Prop firm challenges
-
Brokers with strict margin rules
3️⃣ Recommended Beginner Setup (Best Results)
For safe long-term performance, MBX is best used with controlled risk:
Conservative Risk Plan
-
RiskLevel1_USD = $5 – $10
-
MaxTradesPerSession = 1
-
RR = 2.0
-
SL_BufferPoints = 0–20 (Indices)
MBX is designed to win through high-quality momentum break + clean retest setups, not overtrading.
⚠️ Risk Management Reminder
MBX gives the trader full control over risk.
This EA is not a “get rich quick robot” — it is a professional execution engine.
The best results come from:
✅ Low risk
✅ Patience
✅ One clean setup per session
✅ Trading volatile index hours (London/NY)
Final Note
Version 3.5 is now fully Marketplace-validated and built to operate safely across different environments, while keeping MBX’s core institutional logic unchanged.
