Gold Session Breakout Pro is a fully automated Expert Advisor designed and optimized specifically for XAUUSD (Gold), built around structured session breakout logic with clean risk management.
No grid. No martingale. No averaging. Every trade uses a defined Stop Loss, Take Profit, and dynamic Trailing Stop.
Core Trading Logic
The EA builds a price range during a configurable session window (Asian, London, New York or custom), then places a Buy Stop above the range high and a Sell Stop below the range low. When price breaks out in one direction, the opposite order is automatically cancelled (OCO logic). The active position is then managed with a trailing stop.
Trade with the breakout - manage with the trail - protect with discipline.
How It Works
1. Session range is built from H1 bars between configurable start and end hours.
2. Buy Stop placed above the range high with a buffer.
3. Sell Stop placed below the range low with a buffer.
4. One side triggers - the opposite order is cancelled automatically.
5. Trailing stop activates after a configurable profit threshold.
6. Unfilled orders are cancelled at end of day.
7. All positions are closed Friday evening to avoid weekend gaps.
Risk Modes - Choose Your Profile
The EA supports three risk levels via the RiskPercent input parameter. Choose the mode that matches your account size and risk tolerance.
Low Risk (RiskPercent = 5)
Recommended for live accounts, prop firm challenges, and capital preservation.
Slow, controlled equity growth with minimal drawdown. Best starting point for new users.
Medium Risk (RiskPercent = 10)
Recommended for funded accounts and experienced traders.
Balanced growth with moderate drawdown exposure. Standard for most accounts.
High Risk (RiskPercent = 20)
Recommended for demo testing and small experimental accounts only.
Aggressive compounding with significantly higher drawdown. Not suitable for prop firm challenges or primary capital.
Higher risk increases both potential return and potential drawdown. Always test on a demo account first.

Input Parameters
Session Range Window
RangeStartHour / RangeStartMinute - When range building begins (server time). Default 0:00.
RangeEndHour / RangeEndMinute - When range building ends (server time). Default 7:00.
Entry and Exit Times
EntryHour / EntryMinute - When pending orders are placed. Default 7:00.
CancelHour - When unfilled orders are cancelled. Default 20.
Trade Parameters
StopLossPoints - Stop Loss distance from entry in points. Example: XAUUSD 1000 = 10 dollars, EURUSD 200 = 20 pips.
TakeProfitPoints - Take Profit distance from entry in points.
BufferPoints - Extra distance above/below range to prevent false triggers.
Risk Management
LotMode - FIXED_LOT (constant size) or PERCENT_RISK (automatic sizing).
FixedLot - Lot size when using FIXED_LOT mode.
RiskPercent - Percent of balance to risk per trade. Use 5 (low), 10 (medium), or 20 (high).
Trailing Stop
TrailingStartPoints - Minimum profit in points before trailing activates.
TrailingStopPoints - Distance the trailing stop sits behind current price.
Identifier
MagicNumber - Unique number to isolate this EA from others on the same account.
Recommended Settings
Symbol: XAUUSD (Gold)
Timeframe: H1
Minimum deposit: 500 USD (Low risk mode)
Account type: Hedging or Netting
Leverage: 1:100 or higher
Broker: Low-spread ECN or Raw Spread recommended
VPS: Strongly recommended for 24/5 operation
Important: Default input settings are optimized for XAUUSD on H1. Other symbols may require different StopLoss, TakeProfit, and trailing parameters. Always backtest before using on any new symbol.
