IcebergSeal — Prop-Grade Risk Engine with Liquidity Sweep + FVG Entries for Gold (XAUUSD)
IcebergSeal is an Expert Advisor built around one priority: protect the account first, find entries second. It was designed for prop-firm evaluation accounts, where the rules (daily loss limits, trailing max drawdown, consistency requirements, news restrictions) are stricter than any retail environment — and where surviving those rules matters more than catching every move.
The signal model:- H4 trendline-break bias: auto-detects trendlines from swing pivots and establishes directional bias when price closes through them
- Liquidity sweep detection: identifies stop-hunt wicks — price wicking beyond a recent swing extreme and closing back inside
- FVG retest entries: places limit orders at the midpoint of fresh Fair Value Gaps formed after the sweep, in the direction of the HTF bias
- Structured exits: fixed 2R take-profits, stops beyond the sweep wick, automatic breakeven at +1R
The risk engine (the highlight of this EA)
- Trailing max drawdown halt — permanently stops all trading if equity falls a set % below peak balance (default 9%, configurable to your firm's rules)
- Daily loss cutoff and daily profit cap — enforced automatically, sized to keep each day inside prop-firm consistency limits
- Account-wide protection — flattens all positions before weekends, during configurable news windows, and at a daily cutoff time
- Margin-aware position sizing — risk-per-trade is computed live as a % of equity; the EA refuses any trade whose minimum lot would breach the risk cap
- No martingale. No grid. No averaging down. Ever. One position at a time, hard stops on every trade.
- Designed and tested on XAUUSD, M5 timeframe. Default settings assume a GMT+2/GMT+3 broker (the standard MT5 convention) — verify your broker's server offset before running
- Low trade frequency by design: roughly 4-8 trades per month. This is a selective model, not a scalper
- This EA contains no guaranteed profitability. Backtest it yourself in the Strategy Tester (every tick, real ticks) before going live. Past performance does not guarantee future results
- Always run on a demo account first and verify!!!

- Symbol: XAUUSD | Timeframe: M5 | Leverage: 1:30 or higher recommended
- Works on hedging accounts | Single-symbol, single-position design
- Defaults are tuned for a $1,000-$5,000 prop-style account but the engine scales automatically to any account size (all risk is %-based)
No Guaranteed Profitability, this is made to survive Prop Firms and attempt to pass it
The default settings are
Max daily profit: 3% (to ensure consistency)
Max daily drawdown: 2.5% (provided daily drawdown limit on firm is 3%)
Max total drawdown: 9% (total drawdown on the prop is 10%)
