WatchList MACD

This is an alert based on a moving average convergence / divergence (MACD) and additional moving average indicator (for trend confirmation) similar to my other product where you find detailed description of how it works. You get a colored table where colors are related to trading conditions (see below) with possibility to customize all indicator parameters, including Heikin Ashi calculations.

Meaning of cell COLORS (can be redefined by user):

  • GREEN - buy signal,
  • PINK - sell signal,
  • YELLOW - pay attention for incoming potential buy/sell conditions
  • ORANGE and "PENDING" description - waiting for data from broker

Meaning of description in cells found in the table according to column:

 "Description":

  • MACD ↑ Signal (MACD ↑ 0)  - "MACD" line cross up "Signal" line AND "MACD" cross up zero
  • MACD ↓ Signal (MACD ↓ 0)  - "MACD" line cross down "Signal" line AND "MACD" cross down zero
  • MACD ↑ Signal - "MACD" line cross up "Signal" line
  • MACD ↓ Signal - "MACD" line cross down "Signal" line
  • MACD ↑ 0  -  "MACD" line cross up zero
  • MACD ↓ 0  -  "MACD" line cross down zero

 "MA (Moving Average) status":

  • price ↑ MA - price cross up last "MA" point
  • price ↓ MA - price cross down last "MA" point
  • price > MA - last two price points above "MA"
  • price < MA - last two price points below "MA"


MACD parameters:

    • Fast EMA period  - Moving Average with low period
    • Slow EMA period -   Moving Average with high period
    • Signal SMA period - Simple moving average of MACD (Fast EMA  -  Slow EMA) line known as "Signal"
    • Applied price -  Price input for moving average calculations: (open,close,low,high,median,typical,weighted)
    • MA Method for MACD - Corresponds to calculation method for fast and slow moving average
