La estrategia está basada en la intersección de las líneas del indicador técnico Alligator descrito en el libro B. Williams titulado "Trading chaos".

Este sistema representa la combinación de tres medias móviles desplazadas (líneas Lips, Teeth y Jaw) y osciladores construidos sobre su base. Las líneas del indicador Alligator generan la señal para abrir la posición cuando se cruzan en un punto y salen de él colocándose de acuerdo con sus períodos.

Cuando el mercado se mueve hacia arriba, la media móvil superior será la media con el período mínimo (línea Lips), luego va la media con el período corto (línea Teeth) y por debajo de todas se encuentra la media con el período mayor (línea Jaw). De la misma manera, durante el movimiento hacia abajo la línea inferior será la Lips, luego va la Teeth, y por encima de todas se colocará la Jaw.

Generalidades de la estrategia:

Apertura de la posición larga: la intersección de las líneas del Alligator y su divergencia tras la intersección durante el movimiento hacia arriba;
Cierre de la posición larga: línea Lips cruza la línea Jaw de abajo arriba;
Apertura de la posición corta: la intersección de las líneas del Alligator y su divergencia tras la intersección durante el movimiento hacia abajo;
Cierre de la posición corta: Lips cruza la línea Jaw de arriba abajo.

I used default settings with modified lots, on the AUDUSD instrument with a 4H timeframe I was able to backtest a significant profit with a drawdown of 29% over the past 6 months. On the other timeframes there was little to no profit. This EA may be more profitable if using modifed settings, but on default settings it seems to perform well on the 4H timeframe.
