EA not taking trade

Error message on EA

Time and Day Filter:  Opening of trade OFF.

    I set my time as follows

Daily Start Time: 17:00:00 ( New York EST)

Daily Stop Time : 16:59:00  ( New York EST)

           Monday to Friday ( True)

How to turn on the EA.

please advice ASAP.

Hello Mathew - 2 things to Consider,

1st is Daily Start should be lower than the daily Stop time, just input

Daily Start Time: 00:00:00 

Daily Stop Time : 23:59:00 


2nd is the time is base on your broker's GMT time not your local time, most broker uses +2 or +3 depends on daylight savings. you can check your current broker time top of the market watch.

these are 3 most common reason why the EA wont open trade,

1. Current time is outside Specified time  Time and Day Filter Settings, 

----To make it work just use the default time format 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 or make sure you're trade in question is inside the time you set it.


2. Current spread has reached Max Spread

----To make it work just set the Max spread to a higher number that you allow it or disabling it by setting it to 0.


3. Not Enough Margin to open a trade

----To make it work increase your balance or lower your lot size. 

3.b There also a scenario that you are using "loss factor" x 2, 
this means everytime you loss a trade 
the next trade lot will double the size
e.g 
.01,.02,.04,.08,.16, .32 .....

when it reaches to a certain lot size that does not enough margin to open it, 
it will not open a trade.

---- to solve it, increase balance or if you want to restart lotsize to .01 just change magic number in Inputs.

Please Update your EA file version to 1.4

What's New?

Change Default Settings- Ma shift to 0 and Time filter to work 24 hours and deactivated max spread to work on any spread.
Change the logic of Trail to move on step.
Added Trail above break even, if set to true it will only trail if calculated stop loss moves in favor of the order open price.

Which timeframes and pairs does this work best on? And what was your setting for back test?

I just purchased this and what I received is not the same EA as the screenshots. The parameter settings are totally different with only 5 fields. No MOving average fields either

Hello -  I think I received the wrong EA open purchase. There are only 5 paramaters in what I received and none to  select the moving averages or other settings as shown in the pictures you posted. Please help

You might be testing or downloaded a different EA. All the settings on my overview page is the same on the EA inputs
