Martingale is bad when you it do not control! EA Martex you can configure so that the risk will be minimal:

  1.  you can set your drawdown level; 
  2.  your level stop out; 
  3.  to limit the number of orders; 
  4. to change the timeframe for martingale; 
  5. reduce the coefficient of the martingale; 
  6. averaged only initial volume of the lot; 
  7. in the end, you can disable martingale!

The Expert Advisor will alert you in advance about the lack of funds in your account. And you decide to continue to take risks and hope for good luck or in time to recharge your account! For details, see a guide to EA Martex. Recommend re-optimization every 3-4 months. Martex proved itself very good at manual trading!

Мартингейл плохо, когда вы его не контролируете! Советник Martex вы можете настроить так, что риск будет минимален:  

  1. вы можете установить свой уровень просадки; 
  2. свой уровень стоп аута;
  3. ограничить количество ордеров; 
  4. изменить таймфрейм для мартингейла;
  5. уменьшить коэффициент мартингейла; 
  6. усредняться только начальным объёмом лота;
  7. в конце концов вообще отключить мартингейл! 
Так же советник заранее предупредит вас о недостатке средств на вашем счете. И вам решать, продолжать рисковать надеясь на удачу или вовремя пополнить счет!  Подробней смотрите руководство к советнику. Рекомендуем проводить повторные оптимизации советника раз в 3-4 месяца. Неплохо показал себя советник и при ручной торговли!

EURUSD M5,M15. For other pairs or other timeframes you need to optimize in the tester strategy. 

The more money in the account, the safer! I think 500 $ will be fine. You decide! Our broker (InstaForex) have special lots -  0.01 lot = 0.01 USD pip cost. There, you can start with 100 $.

An EA Martex may work with other EA but the main thing is to have enough money in the account and that the magic numbers EA were different.

The EA uses an MA so will work on any instrument and any currency pair. Another question, how will it work? Unfortunately no time to do the optimization on other pairs so as example choose EURUSD.
Before you run the EA in the real market, test it and optimize it in the strategy tester! To optimize need history of at least 3 months!

2‌. There is no such function! 1. You can increase the timeframe for the martingale. 2. You can reduce the lot size or select the initial  lot size. 3. Set the minimum drawdown for example of 5 or 10%, when it is reached, the EA stops opening new trades, and will only monitor open orders. 4. You can disable the martingale at news time (block 5 "MARTINGALE PARAMETERS" Martingale on/off = false).
