Symmetry: Limit Order Style
The EA will plot a channel above and below the last executed order with the center on the last order price. The center of the grid will move as new orders are being executed. It will buy and sell at the same time. If price move down EG will open long positions multiplying the last long quantity by OrderMultiplier parameter keeping the short position if TakeProfitAtLevel=false. If price moves up, it will sell by multiplying the last sell quantity and keeping the buy position if TakeProfitAtLevel=false. Target is the first pullback to a grid level.
If TakeProfitAtLevel=true, the EA will close buy wining positions at grid levels above price, and sell positions below price.
Closure Mode
Closure mode is used to close all orders at breakeven and then stop opening new cycles. Closure mode will continue opening positions to average existing cycle.
Steps:
Set TakeProfit =0.01 or less than zero if you accepting a small loss.
Set CONTINUE=false
To set closure mode to all existing charts, set closure=1 in global variables (F3)
LineTrader Feature Usage
Draw a horizontal line on the chart at the desired level, and then Name it as: (case sensitive, line will change color if activated)
takeProfit --it Will close all the positions at profit. Not all traders.
closeAll ----it Will close all positions. It can be used either for target or stop.
neutralize -it will make long quantity equal to short quantity. Good for indecision stages.
targetBuy -it will close all long positions.
targetSell -it will close all short positions.
buyStop ---it will buy stop. Quantity must be entered on Description.
sellStop ---it will sell stop. Quantity must be entered on Description.
buyLimit --it will buy limit. Quantity must be entered on Description.
sellLimit ---it will sell limit. Quantity must be entered on Description.
symmetry style sample.
see how it closes all short positions for profit.
Set File Inluded
Hi,
1) Does the above setfile applies to all currencies? Is it fully optimized?
2) On which timeframe do we attached the setfile?
3) Most grids strategies fail when a big trend occurs. How does your EA cope with this?
4) I realized your EA is on version 104.24. How long of journey do you take to reach that figure?

a1) Yes, it applies for all currencies. I do recoemnd using grid factor parameter to estimate initial grid increments.
a2) Any time frame is the same, the EA uses pips and lot quantity to calculate grid size and order quantities. It does not use any indicator based on selected timeframe.
a3) The EA set it stage to breakeven point when grid levels are greather than 5 by default. Parameter may be changed. I am currently developing a dynamic grid increments where grid will increases as price moves at the same direction when using limit orders styles as symmetry.
a4) my journey?, yes, i did start in 1998 trading stocks, later options, on 2013 i did futures and i did start forex in 2014. I was technical trader bud i did found out that today high frecuency trading does not allow tecnical anymore. Reason i did start math based trading, like grids.

Hi,

default parameters are optimized for EURUSD. I do recommend you use defaults.
more conservative is decreasing GridSizeFactor by one, aggressive approach is increasing it by one. maximum is 12, minimum is 1.
first, StartLotQty parameter must be equal or greater then account minimum lot size. you may use i-MinLot script in post one to get values.
account_balance_per_pair = StartLotQty * 10 * Contract_Size; (double the amount is best)
example:
standard account, lot size or contract size of 100,000 and minimum lot of 0.01, StartLotQty=0.01
balance = 0.01 * 10 * 100,000 = 10K minimum needed per pair.
Cent account, lot size of 1,000 and StartLotQty=0.1
balance = 0.1 * 10 * 1,000 = 1K per pair.
Cent account, lot size of 1,000 and StartLotQty=0.01
balance = 0.01 * 10 * 1,000 = $100 per pair.
let's guess you are in cent account, lot size 1,000 and minimum 0.01 (StartLotQty). You deposit $500
you should start trading 4 or 5 pairs with target of about 0.03, it will average 1% per day.
every 100 profit, you add one more pair up to 12 pairs.
after 12 pairs you start increasing StartLotQty per every additional 100
if you target 25K, move to standard lot account.
for accounts smaller the 25K, never withdrawal more than 1/4 profit.
Got it,
thanks
