I am looking for an experienced MQL5 developer who can BOTH research trading strategies and develop a commercial-quality MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor.

This is NOT simply a coding job.

The developer is free to choose the trading logic, indicators, entry method, exit method, timeframe architecture and strategy type.

I do not require the EA to copy or resemble any existing commercial EA.

My priority is:

The trading logic may use:

I care about the RESULT and robustness, not the specific trading logic.

The system must not use copied/decompiled commercial code.

The EA should preferably be evaluated over approximately 7-10 years of XAUUSD historical data.

Testing should use:

where suitable and available.

The developer must provide reproducible MT5 Strategy Tester reports.

3. TARGET PERFORMANCE

These are preferred robustness targets and should NOT be achieved through curve fitting.

Preferred targets:

Overall Profit Factor:
>= 1.30
Preferably 1.40 or higher

Maximum Equity Drawdown:
<= 15%
Preferably <= 10-12%

Recovery Factor:
>= 2.0
Preferably >= 2.5

Out-of-Sample Profit Factor:
>= 1.15
Preferably >= 1.25

Untouched Holdout:
Must remain profitable or demonstrate clearly positive long-term expectancy.

Profitable years:
Preferably >= 70-80% of tested years.

Trade sample:
Must contain enough trades for meaningful statistical analysis.

Profit should be reasonably distributed across different years, quarters and market conditions.

The EA does NOT need to make profit every month.

Moderate, stable returns are preferred over extremely high returns with large risk.

4. PROFIT CONCENTRATION

The EA must not depend excessively on a small number of exceptional trades or trading days.

The developer should provide:

- Year-by-year performance
- Month-by-month performance
- Best year
- Worst year
- Best month
- Worst month
- Maximum stagnation
- Maximum consecutive losses
- Long performance separately
- Short performance separately
- Contribution of the best trading days/trades to total profit

A strategy where most historical profit comes from only a few exceptional days will not be considered robust.

The system should demonstrate reasonably stable performance across multiple rolling development/testing periods.

A strategy that performs well only during one optimized historical window will not be accepted.

7. PARAMETER ROBUSTNESS
==================================================

Important parameters must be tested for sensitivity.

The strategy should not depend on one exact parameter combination.

Important parameters should be tested approximately:

+/-10%
and where appropriate
+/-20%

around the selected values.

The surrounding parameter region should remain reasonably stable.

A single narrow optimized peak surrounded by losing parameter combinations will be considered overfitting.

8. COST / SPREAD / SLIPPAGE STRESS

The EA must be tested under increased trading costs.

Required tests should include, where practical:

Normal trading costs
1.25x trading costs
1.50x trading costs
2.00x trading costs

Spread and slippage stress testing should also be performed.

At approximately 1.5x normal trading costs, the EA should preferably remain profitable.

At 2x costs, performance may deteriorate but the system should not catastrophically fail.

Monte Carlo analysis is required.

Preferably at least approximately 1,000 simulations.

Tests may include:

- 95th percentile drawdown
- Worst-case drawdown
- Final equity distribution

There must be no missing encrypted or private dependency required to compile the EA.

17. COMMERCIAL RIGHTS

The Customer must receive full commercial rights to the completed EA.

The Customer must have the right to:

- Modify the source code
- Compile the source code
- Sell the completed EA commercially
- Publish and sell the final product on MQL5 Market

The developer must not resell or repackage the completed EA as the same commercial product.

18. PAYMENT / FINAL ACCEPTANCE
==================================================

No partial payment, advance payment or external payment will be made.

All payment must remain within the official MQL5 Freelance system.

FINAL WORK ACCEPTANCE will occur only after ALL required deliverables have been uploaded to the MQL5 Freelance Order and verified by the Customer.

Before Final Work Acceptance, the Customer must be able to:

1. Receive the complete MQ5/MQH source code.
2. Compile the complete source successfully.
3. Run the EA independently.
4. Reproduce the agreed backtests.
5. Verify the agreed robustness tests.
6. Verify the risk-management functions.
7. Verify there are no missing source dependencies.
8. Verify there is no DLL or external license dependency.
9. Verify compliance with this Requirements Specification.

Providing only EX5 files, screenshots, videos, remote demonstrations or historical backtest images does NOT constitute Final Work Acceptance.

The Customer will not confirm Final Work Acceptance until the complete project has been delivered and the agreed acceptance criteria have been verified.
