it depends also on the account size

if you have balance by millions then the 30% DD is never acceptable

but when you have 100 or 1000 then 30 percent is nice

but not more

1% to 5% risk per trade is conservative. Get your SL first and than calculate your position size.

I got 4 accounts, one is high risk I dont care to loose it. 4 others conservative.

Something about a sub 5% drawdown makes me feel good, like shooting a bullseye. On the other hand getting sloppy on an account and running a 40% drawdown makes generating returns so easy, like an all you can eat buffett.
