Great!

Where’s the commission?

That’s brilliant!

Where’s the commission?

Rena, where do youlive???

There’s no financial market regulation here

Official brokers are selling local stocks labelled as ‘American’ – I’ve already shown you

Who’s going to sort out the terms for you to receive the correct, guaranteed commission? If they’ve opened the position at the quoted price – count yourself lucky.

It’ll be another 30 years or so before financial literacy and accuracy start to be taken seriously.

The fonts are really good. I didn’t know that was even possible in MT5.

Where’s the commission?

The report does not show the commission amount, as the current version of the script generates a summary by symbol and account settings, but does not retrieve commission charges for trades from positions or the trade history. Spreads, swaps and margin are available directly from the instrument/account data, whilst commission for brokers often depends on the account type and the execution of a specific trade; therefore, it is not included in this version of the report.

To calculate the commission, you first need to close the trade at a loss – is that right?

:(

In the official MQL5 model, the commission is associated with the trade: for the trade history, it is accessible via HistoryDealGetDouble(..., DEAL_COMMISSION), and in the list of trade properties, DEAL_COMMISSION is explicitly labelled as “Deal commission”. HistoryDealGetDouble – Trade Functions – MQL5 Reference

For an open position, the situation is different: `PositionGetDouble()` retrieves the properties of an open position, but in the official example, the numerical properties of the position listed include volume, open price, SL, TP, current price, swap and profit — with no mention of commission. The position properties page also lists the position properties, and commission does not appear there as a standard, universal field for reporting on a symbol. Commission is not calculated manually, as this would be incorrect for informational statistics and could be misleading. In MQL5, the actual commission relates to an executed trade and is available via the trade history, whilst the standard instrument properties do not provide a universal, precise commission value.

The task set in the ChatGPT ‘prompt’ was to make the text user-friendly.
