Is discussing trading easier than actually building and running a system in real conditions?
And if someone is talking about some system so we all expect that he will upload it by source code for everybody - because it is free forum and everything should be for free.
Because the promotion (direct promotion or hidden one) of the the systems etc (especially the market products) is prohibited on the forum.

Yeah, that’s a fair point 👍
I agree that direct promotion doesn’t belong here, and the forum should stay useful for everyone.
At the same time, I think there’s also a difference between sharing ideas for learning and actually building something for real conditions. Not everything people work on is meant to be open-source.
So maybe both sides can exist — open discussion for learning, and separate space for implementation.
Just how I see it 🙂
and separate space for implementation.
Yes, the separated space for implementation is necessary, but for the products and already developed ideas which were uploaded to the forum by source code.
If someone wants to keep something as the private thing (or the commercial one) so it is not discussed and those threads will be deleted and the user will be banned for commercial promotion.

There were some forum threads where the users were developing something starting from raw ideas to the developed ideas and the products by source code. But it is not easy to do ... but, anyway, the best way to promotion is to provide the users something to be useful for free by source code, and everybody will see that you are professional development for example.

That actually makes sense 👍
I’m not here to promote anything anyway. Right now I’m more focused on learning and understanding how others approach development.
I’ve seen some of those threads where people build ideas step by step — honestly that’s the kind of discussion I find most valuable. Even small insights from others help a lot in improving your own systems.
Maybe later I’ll share something useful too once I feel it adds value 🙂
Is discussing trading easier than actually building and running a system in real conditions?
Absolutely. This is true for every trading discussion forum, by the way.
"Only about 15% of forex traders make a profit" (Complete List of Forex Statistics (2025): 117 Forex Market Stats). This actually paints a rather rosy picture of reality because if a trader earned a penny, that trader is included in that 15%. Then consider all such traders who earned merely pocket change.
The issue as I see it is... Once source code is cast out into the ether, internet users and AI will have their way with it however they like and whether it's legal or not. There is nothing physically preventing a downloader from compiling the source code and selling the executable file as their own, for example. If you spent say, 15 years, developing and refining your best trading system which is time-tested and profitable, would you really be so eager to release it into the abyss? Probably not. You might, however, be willing to share some individual components of the system or even some of your lesser complete systems─to help other traders who are struggling to earn any profit whatsoever.

Unpopular observation…
I’ve been exploring the forum lately and noticed something interesting.
A lot of people give strong advice, detailed opinions, even criticism on systems — but many of them don’t seem to have any product or real implementation visible.
Not saying publishing is necessary for everyone, but it does raise a question:
Is discussing trading easier than actually building and running a system in real conditions?
Genuinely curious how others see this.
Do you think there’s a gap between theory and execution here?
