EA places trades on one PC but not on another (same broker, same settings)

Hi everyone,

I have a strange problem with an Expert Advisor in MetaTrader 5.

The EA is a purchased EA from the MQL5 Market.

On PC 1, everything works normally and the EA places pending orders immediately.

On PC 2, the EA loads and initializes successfully, but it never places any pending orders.

There are no errors in the Journal or Experts tab.

Both setups should be identical:

  • same broker

  • same trading account

  • same MT5 version

  • same symbol and timeframe

  • same EA settings

  • AutoTrading enabled

I already tried:

  • restarting MT5

  • removing and attaching the EA again

  • checking AutoTrading and EA permissions

What confuses me is that with the same broker and settings it works on one PC but not on the other.

Could this be related to MQL5 Market licensing or activation, or has anyone seen something like this before?

Any ideas would really help.

Thanks!

A product purchased from the mql5.com Market is licensed to one machine's system. Even an overwriting system update causes you to use another product activation (but you automatically get an extra).

The solution is to purchase the product for, and from within, your 2nd machine.
