Installation MT5 on opensuse 16/wine 11 fails: "a debugger has been found running in your system" - page 2

This is a recurrent question when a new version or sub version is made available.
It has happened for some version of Wine 10.

My understanding of this issue is that wine has been built with a debugger flag which is not allowed by MT5.
So until a Wine binary is available without such flag, it won't work.
Alternatively one could build Wine from source, making sure no debugger flag or instruction is present.

What would really help is for MT5 to tell us what triggers the "a debugger has been found running in your system" message.
So we could ask Wine builder to make sure that stanza (flag/instruction) is not present.

MetaQuotes has been advised about this issue. Be patient.

Let's wait for a fix then. I mean wine 11 will be way better compared to legacy wine 10.

MT5 is working with Wine 11.1 or Wine 10.

If you have Wine 11.0, you need to upgrade or downgrade.

MT5 works with winehq-staging, but not winehq-devel (11.1) right now. The performance is much worst than it was with winehq-stable 10.2 though.

For MacOs users here is a solution:

1. Remove any wine

2. Then run in any terminal:

curl -L -o wine-stable-10.0-osx64.tar.xz \
  "https://github.com/Gcenx/macOS_Wine_builds/releases/download/10.0/wine-stable-10.0-osx64.tar.xz"

tar -xf wine-stable-10.0-osx64.tar.xz

sudo mv "Wine Stable.app" /Applications/

echo 'export PATH="/Applications/Wine Stable.app/Contents/Resources/wine/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.zshrc
source ~/.zshrc

wine --version

If MacOs tells you that this version is insecure - allow it in "System Settings -> Privacy and Security"

Enjoy :)
