Unable to Log In to MT5 Web Terminal and Desktop – Request for Assistance

 

Hello Support Team,

I’m unable to log in to the MetaQuotes-Demo server using both the desktop MetaTrader 5 terminal and the web terminal.

I also received this message from the MT5 desktop log:

  • failed to open an account, check internet connection or contact broker support service - Disk error [5]

I’ve already uninstalled MT5, deleted all local data folders, and reinstalled fresh.

Please help how to verify whether the MetaQuotes-Demo server is currently active or if my demo account has been deleted or block.


 
I had the same issue with an old MetaQuotes demo MT5 account, I went to MT5 >> File >> + Open an Account and the newly created account connected and worked fine.
