Alain Verleyen #: It's what we called a bug in programming, which is not related to the Visual mode. 

Attributing this problem to a programming error is unfair, because according to the documentation ACCOUNT_PROFIT should always reflect the total floating profit of the account in any mode. If in the visual tester it returns zero while POSITION_PROFIT shows correct values, this is not the user's fault but an inconsistency of the tester.

In summary, I am not saying it is a bug or a programming error, only that in visual mode POSITION_PROFIT is more accurate than ACCOUNT_PROFIT. For those who already know this it may be obvious, but a new user should not be told they coded it wrong when the documentation does not mention any such limitation.The difference does not come from the code but from the very nature of the tester's modeling.

I was talking about the Tester programming, not the OP one.

It's an MT5 bug if we believe the documentation, if the documentation is wrong or incomplete, it could just be a limitation. We don't know actually, only MQ developers can say it. Ok using POSITION_PROFIT is fine, but that's not the point.

Anyway, I give up.

In my opinion the inconsistency lies in the very nature of the tester's modeling or mode, and perhaps for that reason MQ considers there is nothing to clarify, as it happens with many other topics.
