This is about host file:

How I am finding host file in my computer:

Thanks Sergey. I followed that path, opened the Hosts file. However, i only see a short Windows default text, showing info about ''example IP and Host''. I don't find any info about MT4 and MT5

Unknown. Maybe yes, but most probably not. It may also depend on how you setup your profile here on the site. There are some security settings that may be affecting your connection ...

Below is a screenshot of my own settings. Yours may be set differently ...

After checking the 2nd option under Security, I switched off my PC's and router for about 15 mins. Switched my router back on, but then had to go out. When i came back home, i turned my PC's back on. I was then able to access the MQL5 site and login on both the site and on my new PC's terminal, without the VPN connected. However, when i tried to log into my MQL5 account on my old PC's terminal, the issue came back again. I am now back to square one. Had to use the VPN now again to type these last few messages. So not sure, why its not letting me login to my MQL5 account on more than 1 device.

If both of your pc's are wireless, it sounds to me like none of your IP addresses changed. Again, a modem-router generally assigns separate IP addresses to wireless devices. An old wireless IP address stays the same unless you can reset DHCP settings. In contrast, a new wireless pc gets assigned a new wireless IP address. If this is the case, you're not totally out of luck yet. You can contact your ISP and request that they randomly change your IP address. I'm not saying that they will for sure, nor that it will be free. But hey, it's worth a shot.

The problem might be similar to what I encountered. I suggest trying the following steps:

  1. Contact Support to have your IP unblocked. In the meantime, please do not use MT5/MT4.

  2. Check if Windows Update is disabled. If it is, enable Windows Update and try updating it.

  3. It’s recommended to use Windows 10 or, even better, Windows 11. Do not disable Windows Update and keep your system updated to the latest version.

The latest issue I experienced was that MT5 seemed to connect directly to mql5 via IP instead of the domain. This might be a DNS resolution problem caused by disabling Windows Update. After I enabled it and updated Windows, everything started working normally again.

I've had this issue before (403), and eventually it just fixed itself. Give it a day or two and it should be back to normal. I wouldn’t mess with the Hosts file, especially if you’re not an “IT” person.

In the meantime, a VPN should work... at least it did for me.

As for the free indicators, looks like most of your questions were already answered. MQL5 Market adds an extra layer of security on all indicators (free or paid) and requires you to re-download everything after a new installation. Use this chance to clean up any unused indicators you had. The only catch is that some indicators can change from free to paid, and for paid ones, you’ll use up one activation.

Is there any update with your issue? There are "others" who are currently having similar 403 errors who may be following this thread for how you "are going".
