Several servers with one core or one server with multiple cores for my MT4's?
I have a bunch of MT4 terminals and my VPS provider recommend that I rent several servers with one core instead of a large server package with multiple cores.
I want to upgrade from my current 8 core/16GB Ram server.
I have set affinity on all terminal to one core but VPS support says this is a temporary solution and will not be effective and optimal compared to running MT4 terminals on a server with one core.
Any comments on that?

while i would agree that mt4 would run more optimal(ly) on a single server for each terminal, it would not be cost effective, and unless each terminal has a high volume trading ea, on each terminal, there will not be any difference to trades, whatsoever. If you do have a high volume trading ea, then, you should not be using mt4 anyhow.

i mean opening and closing of 50+ trades at anytime. mt4 not good at doing that without lots of slippage.

i do not know your setup, however, if you are using, even mt4 without doing high frequency trading, then imo if you are having issues then i would be looking for a different vps provider.
what issues are you having? or what issues does your provider claim that you are having?
what OS or what version of windows are you running on your vps? any server version will work fine, albeith 2016 may not be as optimal as the newer editions.

I do not have any issues. I was about to upgrade my current server package and support just recommended to buy a one core server instead of upgrading my current one...
