MT5 download error Windows 7
Hi, can anyone please kindly advise why am I getting the attached error when trying to download and install MT5 (IC Markets) on my laptop? Thank you!
i am sure that mt4/5 can NOT be installed on W7 anymore. You could try to download and install web3 first, and then try to install mt4/5 after that. But I am sure that W7 support stopped years ago.
You may be able to force the installer to work on Windows 7, 64bit, but 32bit installer stopped working even longer ago. Try running the installer ina command prompt in administrator mode. if you have 32 bit windows 7, try with /32 after the exe command. But this ability was reported to have stopped awhile ago also.
Did you check that the DLL file was in the windows directory? c:\Windows\System32
Windows 7 extended support period begins in January 2020 when Windows 7 support ended officially, and it ended in January 2023 for good.

Trite, but I repeat: updating the operating system categorically increases its stability and reduces the number of errors in any software launched on it.
Unfortunately, we are starting to cut down on the capabilities of terminals under Windows 7. There is no reason to support it anymore.
