How long have you seen this issue?
@Evren Caglar I haven't had this issue until yesterday. However, it is important to note that the version of MetaTrader 5 is newly downloaded yesterday. The previous version had some issues, so I deleted it, re-installed the lastest from the mql5.com website. The new version came with other issues as well - When attempting to login to the MQL community, it would freeze up the app. I was able to work around this by logging in via MetaEditor, which shares it's credentials with MetaTrader. However, once solving this, I then ran into the next issue of the crashing.
I did try to downgrade to the previous version (which I still had downloaded from April), but it also has the same crashing issues.
So I suspect it has something to do with Parallels (what I use to install Windows on my mac).
To verify, I installed MetaTrader 5 on my wife's PC laptop and had no issues with login or crashes ...
"This is occurring on Parallels Windows via Mac"
Don't use Parallels, or really any emulation software. That's just asking for trouble as you already know because every version you've tried "had some issues".
MetaTrader 5 is from 2010, expecting it to run on what I suspect is an M* Mac through x64 emulation and then run a 14 year old piece of software that was never known for being very stable is a bit absurd. MT5 is so old that a feature introduced, which wasn't in MT4 (circa: 2005) was multi-core support. The processor you're trying to run it on wasn't even a dream back then.
If you're hell bent on using the Mac, maybe it's your only system, then get a VPS or Dedicated Server somewhere and remote desktop into it.
