where I can find what differnt colors mean in Connection status in the status bar of terminal? Thanks.

This is the server connection marker. Upper part of the marker is for the direct connection to the server. The lower part shows that you are connected through a Data Center.

If it is fully red, it means there is no connection with the selected server.
If it is green/red, this means the direct connection to the server.
If it is green/blue, this means that you use a Data Center.

If this marker is spotty in color, this means that the connection is not very good (this may cause that one quote reaches you, but another one does not).
 
Thank you very much Tatyana. One more question regarding Data Center. What will happen when I connect a terminal of one broker to data center connectet of different broker? I tried this and it seems to behave exactly the same (at least on the first look).
 
Please use the Data Center auto configuration.

Thank you... I have read that. The reason I ask is because I have never installed that peice of software on any of my systems. However, sometimes my connection status will be green/blue (less than 20% of the time).

I guess I meant does the broker have any control how your connected, and if so, what is the difference?

Yes, your broker can use Data Centers. This allows to provide stable connection with the server. There will not be any significant difference, in your case.

Just find it kinda funny and nothing much more to it. If it's so old and outdated why not just delete it so no one can post comments to them...
