Volume > alerts not working

I'm trying to set a simple sound alert for when volume is greater than a certain value. I've tried Volume < which is triggering alerts on any value I enter for some reason but Volume > will not trigger an alert no matter what value I enter. I'm using the standard built in 'Volumes' indicator in MT5 and am hoping to get alerts corresponding to the values on that indicator on the M1 timeframe.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this isn't working? I might be missing something obvious.

Without more information we con only guess. Show screenshots of a concrete example and explain in more detail, included the values used and the values on the chart.

Hi thanks for replying.

In the screenshots you can see that values entered for > do not trigger an alert when the volume indicator breaches that level. However any value entered for < will trigger an alert whether that's higher or lower than the current volume on the indicator.

FYI > alerts don't get triggered by lower than current volume values either.

The "volume" in the alerts refers to the real volume of the deals, not the tick volume as shown on your chart screenshot. Forex symbols don't usually have real volume, only tick volume.

EDT: When in doubt, hit the F1 key (when requiring help from within a certain dialogue box or functionality), and read the documentation for it.

Ah ok thanks.

Do you know of any way to set up alerts for tick volume?
