Renat Akhtyamov:

it is in the "now" that the ambiguity of the signal appears - buy/sell/buy/sell etc. almost infinitely many times

;)

And the end result is a shot :)

I've been thinking...

when we say "it's trending" or "it's flat", we don't mean "right now, at this moment in time".

If we were working with what we have "now", we would be looking at a screen with just one point on it, with the price value. and we wouldn't be looking at a chart of what was before that point.
And with one white dot on a black screen (with the price value), how can we predict how the price will go next?

When we say "now flat" we actually mean that the last period of n bars in the market was flat.

second:
When we say "the market was flat in the last period, so we bet on the continuation of the flat" - we are guided by the theory that flats tend to last in time; the theory that if the market entered a flat phase, it's likely that the flat will continue instead of changing to a trend phase.

It's all scholastic. You have to be specific with the price, whether it is trending or flat or not makes no difference. If a signal is formed, we enter, if no signal is formed, we do not enter. We should think about entry and exit conditions. We should not guess with a coffee grounds - whether the trend continues or a flat.

When we say "the market was flat during the last period, so we bet on the continuation of the flat" - we are guided by the theory that flats tend to last in time; the theory that if the market entered a flat phase it means the flat will most likely continue and will not change to a trend phase.

A flat is recognisable before it is formed by certain traits. The flit that was, is no longer interesting.

It's very simple:

a flat - the absence of substantial updates of highs / lows over a period of time

A trend is a constant renewal of maximums/minimums.

a trend is always born out of a flat, sometimes a sharp reversal is born out of a trend.

that is all.

you have to think about the exit conditions in cases when you incur losses.

That's basically all you have to think about.

and the rest is rubbish.

You don't have to analyse anything on the graph. It's very, very simple, simple as can be.

Renat make a signal to show everyone that what you are talking about is really simple.

Would you lay out the grail?

Martin_Apis_Bot Cheguevara:

Renat make a signal to show everyone that what you're talking about is really easy.

Renat is absolutely right, everything is really very simple, and there is no need to analyse anything on the chart. And I sit quietly in my dacha, lying on the cooker and do not need anything. Well...
By the way, how much is the GP today?
