There's nothing to trade in this multitude.
The product is mass-produced, so it's not me who chooses.
So there's no asynchronous API in Quartet.
So what are we talking about? ;-) - The idea is to make asynchronous API for MT4 (MT5 already has it).
In other words, the Expert Advisor's code contains calls OrderSend or OrderClose, we add one include and they are miraculously paralleled to implicitly auto-launched EAs (up to 8 EAs).
so why is mt5 being installed instead of mt4 - it's already page five of the discussion, have you figured anything out?
It's all been cleared up for a long time. Having a link named mt4 and downloading mt5 is a deliberate provocation by MQ, and they, by virtue of who knows what, don't understand that you can't do that.

Do MT5 API in MT4 - OnTradeTransaction. But I prefer OrdersTotalWaiting.

you've taken this kind of grid closure work to the masses as well?
tinny
Doing the MT5 API in MT4 - OnTradeTransaction. But I like OrdersTotalWaiting better.
OnTradeTransaction is already a consequence. First of all, you need to execute the orders. This is exactly what we were asked about here to close a long pile of orders at once. And we don't need any callback.
I prefer to move gradually from the simple to the complex, rather than to implement a lot of functionality at once.

Looking forward to the QB...
Waiting at the Buy More...
I guess that's a hint? ;-) There are at least 2 people here who already have a lot of work in the required direction, and I'm neither of them.

Well I'm definitely a pass (not even for OrdersTotalWaiting for MT5 yet)! I`ve been doing it myself, but I`ve been doing it quickly just to solve lag problem. I don't want to tweak it and therefore I don't want to post it.
As for the use cases, the most common is OrderModify on ECN, when the limit or TP-positions are partially executed. And we get dozens of units on the real, which in the tester would be only two! This is where quick OrderModify is needed, to lag less behind the tester. I.e. this is almost always needed when working through limit orders (no grids), especially large ones.
The close slipped to +5pp, sometimes to +20pp or higher, but sometimes the opposite is true
you took such a processing of net closes to the masses?
Tremendous
Just be glad that you are good at programming and you have not got such a rubbish from me. Do you have something constructive to offer?
